Praying she can pull off a Joan of Arc without the whole martyrdom thing, Jane must lead Alfar and halflings alike in a desperate battle to combat the ancient evil. Catapulted into the role of Most Unlikely Hero Ever, Jane also has to fight her own insecurities as well as the doubts of those who don't think she can live up to her new role as Champion. We meet interesting Welsh supernaturals, a gwyllion named Hiral, a coblynau named Gog, and a raven named Magog (really, now? Gog and Magog?), but only the crusty little gwyllion struck a chord in me. Then lots of British Alfar doing their sneaky officious things to each other--could anyone, even Blondie/Cyntaf, much less poor Jane, bring them into line? Jane faces formidable odds in this adventure, and I was cheering her on all the way.

Once again, we were too late. I was beginning to feel that was our modus operandi, as really bad superheroes: "Too Late To Save Shit! But We Gave It A Go!"
My libido pondered whether there was a subtle way to mime a blow job on a helicopter stuffed full of friends and foes, but my virtue squashed that train of thought like a health inspector might a lamed cockroach.
