My village doesn’t like me, or my mother for the crimes my dead father committed, but when Hunters disappear, an opportunity I can’t refuse comes my way. A chance to belong. A chance to change mine and my mother’s fortune for the better with a simple task, kill the white Glammour and return it to the village.
Turns out this task wasn’t as simple as it seemed.
Between the lies of my best friend, and a magical fog, things take a turn for the worse. I’m left fighting for my very life, against a force far greater than I could have ever imagined.
Will I survive? Or will the fog drag me into the depths of darkness?
If you're looking for a quick, engaging read, this book is a fantastic choice. It has everything: magic, betrayal, loyalty, family, and witches. The story centers around a young man who’s an outcast in his village because of his father’s past crimes. When he gets a chance to prove himself by killing the elusive white Glammour, he jumps at it. But what seems like a simple task quickly turns into a dangerous adventure. Between the lies of the village chief, a creepy magical fog, and the evil witch he encounters, he's thrown into a fight for his life against forces he never imagined. The suspense and twists kept me hooked until the very end. The author does a great job of creating a world that feels real and characters you can root for. The protagonist’s journey is both thrilling and emotional, making it hard to put the book down. If you love fantasy and a good adventure, you’ll definitely enjoy this book. I can't wait to see what happens next in the series!
this was a great start in the BloodFire Chronicles series, it had everything that I was hoping for and enjoyed from the genre. The characters were excellent and felt like real people in this world. I enjoyed the writing style and can't wait for more.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The author builds an interesting world filled with diverse characters. The main character fights to overcome extreme hardship while trying to discover why. When finally offered a chance to succeed, he discovers a hidden secret that changes everything. A solid start to a new series.
“Smith” is an enchanting quick novella that ties into the authors “Elements” series. This quick read it gives you a mix of magic and supernatural as vampires, witches and dragons come to life with friendship and enemies. Very enjoyable!
This book is very interesting, and it is well written I enjoyed the storyline from the beginning when they encountered the fog from then I was hooked, wish it can one day be turned into a movie.
A strange little tale, full of twists and turns, that left me a bit confused. Interesting premise, but could have used a bit more character development, perhaps?
