I really tried to like this, but it was an incessant “I want to. But I shouldn’t.” And it just kept dragging on, so I gave up.

Belle is a good girl who really wants to help her out. Being a tooth fairy only helps me in my mind. She does best to bring kids a little happiness. She also has a vow of chastity that she took and is determined to keep. Boone is a dark soul literally. He has had his heart broken and is not about to fall for another woman. That all changes when their eyes meet, and both have to decide if there is something between them or not. Even the minor characters felt like they had important part as well. That is not always the case with romance novels.

While most people would call this a bodice ripper, there were no bodices ripped at all throughout the entire book. It was a lovely romp in the hay and I enjoyed every minute of it. There was depth to the characters. I fought to put the book down to eat meals.

Ms. Altom writes perfectly balanced romance novels that are full of heart and details that sizzle. I loved how she could weave the story right off the pages and into my imagination. I definitely will have to look into her other novels.

The premise has fantastic comedic potential. A goody-goody Tooth Fairy and a Bogey Man who's convinced he's dying as he begins to transform into all his darkest desires? An Easter Bunny uncle? Fairies living in such mundane places as farms and ranches in Texas and Oklahoma and losing money in the stock market? Such are the things that cracktastic gold is made from. I expected a truly zany romantic comedy based on the cover. Sadly, the romance read like nothing so much as Stockholm Syndrome (perhaps appropriate for a female lead named Belle; Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairy tale but it has its issues) while our intrepid heroine plays happy homemaker in her abductor's shack. Not worth it.

The premise was fun and cute, but the book falls short. Belle is a Tooth Fairy with no money. She takes a job pretending to be a Princess, but ends up kidnapped when Boone thinks she is conning his mother.
There is something wrong with Boone and he thinks he's dying. Boone's problem drags on and the explanation is convoluted and confusing. And I can't believe we don't get to hear what the final solution is.
It was all a little cheesy and conveniently solved.

Belle, a Tooth Fairy, is posing as a princess to make some extra money. Boone, burned by a deceitful ex-girlfriend, is angry when he discovers her charade and kidnaps her. He is struggling with growths on his back and increasing darkness that signifies his changing into a Boogeyman.

Too much. The romance is neglected for the complexities of the fairy tale. It's a lot darker than others, and the ending seems a little convenient.

This book is both silly and fun. The main character is a tooth fairy and her love-interest could be a boogie man. It's a hillarious read.

Tooth Fairy meets the Boogeyman. Sparks fly, tornadoes and earthquakes. Cute, quick read.

Cutesy fairy fluff. A tooth fairy falls in love with a bogeyman. And of course she is going to have to save his soul. Nothing new or groundbreaking, but a fun enough read.
