1976, hardcover edition, Vanguard Press, NY. 205 pages. Well written, detailed coverage of the Las Vegas scene, written by an author who had, at the time of original publication, made his living from gambling in Vegas for 9 years. Here is the author's take on such issues playing blackjack, blackjack systems, the problems in being a card counter, money management, all about pit bosses, other casino games, poker, women who gamble, cheating, and special insights on gambling and gamblers. This title has gone on to become a staple, a title that has sold well and become a standard work in the industry.
Great easy read that takes one back to a simpler time and celebrates the hidden success one can have in the seedy enterprise of gambling. It inspired at least one trip to Vegas, where I lost plenty! But was inspired to think winning was possible.
