Everyone's favorite canine hero, Santa Paws, is back in this seventh book in the series. And this time, he's got a sidekick -- a feisty, exuberant puppy who's always getting herself into trouble.
The Callahan family is on their way to Vermont for a fun-filled holiday on the ski slopes. Santa Paws and the new puppy are looking forward to a nice, relaxing week curled up next to the lodge fire. But up in the cold, snowy mountains, there's lots of people who need help. Fortunately, there's one dog who always comes to the rescue -- Santa Paws! But will his playful new sidekick accidentally get him *into* trouble instead of out of it?
2018 This is the first novel from the Santa Paws collection that is written by Kris Edwards. And just beginning the first page, you can tell the difference between the two writers. There isn't anything technically wrong with Kris Edwards different style of writing, but she does seem to focus more on the Callahan family instead of on Santa Paws. And after having read five other Santa Paws books, I'm not exactly a fan of the change. Plus, she added a new dog, Cookie. And Cookie is basically a miniaturized version of Santa Paws. She's involved in the rescues and she's a therapy dog with him. And I find it hard to believe that the Callahan's would have two dogs that were versions of Lassie.
