Lots and lots of wonderful games. Of course, the title is a bit of a cheat, since some of these are very well-known indeed. Unfortunately, the notes are seldom a help and frequently a hindrance, with their often high-handed and hindsightful tone.

The best way to improve your chess beyond beginner level is to study master games, at least a little. This book is great introduction to one of the most precise chess players in history. Capablanca's games are so instructive and enjoyable to play through
