Thought Revolution invites readers to unlock their whole brain to change the way they see themselves and find the truth in whatever challenges them. Encompassing twelve years of research, the book takes readers on an unexpected journey that will set them free-and it all begins with moving the pen from one hand to the other. The technique is called "intuitive" or "nondominant" hand writing and is the basis for this revolutionary approach to making lasting life changes. (Paragraph 2) Tapping the non dominant subconcious right brain through nondominant hand writing, or drawing, can act as a direct pipeline to one's inner truth, open up creative problem-solving abilities, and help people think outside the box. Others have reported improvements in relationships, reduction in stress, better physical health, discovery of hidden talents, deeper spiritual awareness, healing from trauma, breakthroughs in career, accessing inner wisdom, and connection with a higher power. (Paragraph 3) Inside Thought Revolution William A. Donius offers the science behind nondominant hand writing and teaches readers ow to incorporate nondominant hand writing in their own lives. Thought-provoking, easy-to-do exercises and prompts help readers connect mnore fully with the needs of their subconcious right brains and unlock their hidden genius.
What if you had permission to design an entirely new life, one that is built entirely around YOU, your gifts, your talents, your aspirations, your dreams, and your values? What if you discovered that absolutely NOTHING and absolutely NOBODY could stand in the way of this new life? Sounds narcissistic, doesn't it? Well, think again. That's exactly what every one of us was designed to do -- to live authentic lives built around our gifts and values. Welcome to the Thought Revolution!
What is a revolution? In mathematical terms, it is a 360-degree turn of the dial. In societal terms, it is an upheaval. And in terms of your life, it is an awakening.
I work with a lot of writers, but I did not work with Bill Donius. I purchased this book at one of his speaking engagements. From the first page, I knew I was in the grip of something I'd missed my whole life. It's like I'd found the missing puzzle piece -- and it had been INSIDE ME the entire time! Written in simple, straightforward terms,Thought Revolution introduced me to a technique that unlocked my creativity and problem-solving capabilities, and all I had to do was write with my non-dominant hand. Since I picked this book up four weeks ago, I have restructured my work practices, stopped worrying about my finances and responsibilities, and designed an entirely new branch of my business. My days feel easy and complete, and I am at rest.
If you would rather live your life asleep, continue in a job you don't like, keep hanging out with people who don't value you, or stay stuck below your capabilities, then buy Thought Revolution, but don't read it. Give it to someone else who wants to take the potential God put in them and turn it into a life of excellence with ease, graced with fulfilling relationships and self-harmony. If you don't want that, then give that gift to someone else.
Everyone should buy this book. Read it or give it -- just get it out there!
I received a promotional copy of this book and was intrigued to learn about self discovery through question answering with the non-dominant hand. While there is surely a lot to say about various techniques for journaling, this book feels like it was written prematurely. The examples Donius provides seem limited and, oddly, his picture the book jacket is arms akimbo, with the all-important left hand tucked under his armpit.
Reading the book, it felt to me he rushed to write the book about an exciting transformative technique, without having himself been truly transformed by said technique.
Interesting, a quick read. The idea of unleashing creativity by first letting your right brain dominate is not new. Donius gives us the guide to open new ways of thinking. If you liked Daniel H. Pink's A Whole New Mind, you will like Thought Revolution. However, I am not convinced with his methods, and the book felt unwhelming.
interesting premise -- get your left brain and right brain to communicate by using your left and right hands to ask and answer questions in your "though revolution journal"... like a personal Ouija board or somesuch. I did not/ have not yet tried the suggested exercises, but did enjoy reading the book which took less than an hour sitting next to he pool.
Badly written book with only 1 good tip. It was enough to read the first 3 chapters of the book to learn about the non-dominant hand writing. The rest of the book was so not convincing, inauthentic. Donies used weak examples, written in a way that the people mentioned sound made up. He shares little about himself, despite his interesting background.
