Eh..this was okay. Troy wasn't nearly as scary or badass as they portrayed him in the first two books. In fact he spent about 90% of this book either captured, hurt or both. That was rather disappointing..
The chemistry between him and Carly was very bland, nothing like Jake and Allison. Their attraction for one another just wasn't believable..
This is the last book in the Agents Under Fire trilogy by Dana Marton. I've been lucky enough to read and review all three. This series has been packed with sexy capable men as well as sexy capable take charge women. I think in this one Troy meets his match in Claire. I was excited to see a ex military woman who can kick butt and does so. You don't see many of these kinds of books and i was cheering Claire on through the whole book. Warrior agent wraps up the thread on the dirty congressman and his brother and you get Gabe and Jake from the two previous two books in this trilogy when they come and help Troy. Action packed right to the end. Dana Marton really know her romantic suspense and you get a big dose of that in this book. 5 out of 5 Modokker Book Pick series. This was one of those one sitting book. I think it took about 2 hours to sit and read and i was wishing for more in the end. lol

Beautifully romantic spy-action conclusion to the Agents Under Fire trilogy! You will fall in love with Troy and Claire's story! Intense, spell-binding action that will keep you turning pages to see what happens next!! Loved it!!
This Novella had a lot going for it, but it is definitely not to be read as a standalone. It is the final piece of a trilogy and it ties everything up, but not nice and not neat. Loved the way Troy instantly saw that Carly was a warrior and loved that about her.
Troy Hill is a former SEAL who chose the wrong private contracting group to work for. He has been working to bring the group down for months and has been caught trying to bug a corrupt Senator to get the proof they need to nail him and the group.
Carly Montgomery is new to the Senator's security team and feels something isn't right with their treatment of a suspected burglar they caught in the house. But Carly needs this job. There is not much out there for a returning vet with PTSD flashbacks. Carly ends up being Troy's salvation and loses her heart in the process.
I obtained this free e-book as part of a boxset and I am voluntarily writing a review. Troy is a ex Navy seal with a Explosive specialty. He is working as a temporary undercover FBI agent to investigate a US Senator and obtain information to prosecute him for illegal dealings. Carly is ex Army trying to adjust to civilian life and PTSD. She is working private security detail for the Senator when Troy is captured while in the Senators mansion and things are not as they seem and she ends up saving his life.
So Book 2 & 3 were better than Book 1. They still could’ve been better but the stories were more than what we got in Book 1. I’m still disappointed bc I feel like they could’ve all been 5+ star books. There’s action & suspense in these books which are great! I loved it. I just feel these books are rushed and needed more to them. I’ll definitely read more from this author, maybe it was just this series that needed more.
As with the other books in the series, it was good but not great. The ending in this one book as well as the others left my head hanging in wonder why the author chose to do it like that. Because of the ending, and I will not recommend it to anyone.
Warrior Agent wraps up this exciting fast-paced adventure.
Here we follow Troy who is temporarily working undercover for the FBI with Gabe and Jake, tracking Senator Wharton to get information on his illegal activities.
When Troy is caught in the Senator’s mansion, he is badly beaten by the Senator's security goons. Carly is one of his guards but doesn't know about the beating. After leaving the army, Carly is working the private security detail for the Senator. She is suffering from PTSD but thinks she’s crazy so she stays clear of any kind of relationship. Carly knows there is something going on with all the other guards but they won’t let her in on it. Being hired as a token ex-military female, they don’t think she is a problem to them. But not only is she brave and skilled, she has a strong sense of right and wrong and will do whatever it takes to correct an injustice. This leads her to rescuing Troy. They soon start trusting each other. Then fall for each other.
Having a kick-ass woman in this book made it even better than just having a strong male lead character. It was great having a woman rescue the man!
I read this story as part of the Agents Under Fire trilogy 2011 edition and in it this woman was called Carly Montgomery. But in other editions/reviews, she was called Claire Montgomery. It is a bit confusing but please note that Claire and Carly are the same characters.
If you like romantic suspense that is full of action, you will like this book. But you should read the books in this series in order to get the most out of them.

This is the final book in this series and I was happy to read about Claire who was ex-military. Finally seeing some female action.
I must say Claire was just perfect for Troy who is also from the military. They just had the chemistry and rapport like how teammates would be. Claire met Troy under undesirable circumstances. Troy was captured and being held captive and Claire was on the watch. Troy was gonna use Claire's softheartedness to aid in his own escape but for some reason he couldn't bring himself to use and hurt her.
Claire was off duty when she became suspicious of some vehicle entering the compound. She saw Troy being taken away and she wasn't convinced of the reply that her partner gave when she questioned. She secretly tailed the vehicle and saw that Troy was gonna be killed and rescued him. With Claire having so many questions, Troy had no choice but to let her in on his mission.
As Troy and Claire grew closer, they couldn't help but had lots of respect for each other and their attraction grew. More action is being packed into this book as it wraps up the entire mission and the taking down of Congressman Wharton. It was definitely very entertaining and I could see the scenes moving forth as if in a movie. Great series and I look forward to reading more of Dana's books.
I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.
This was actually my least favorite story in the series, which was disappointing because I really wanted Troy's story to be awesome. The books in this series just seem too rushed or short. All of the elements are there for amazing books that I want to be addicted to, but they leave me with the feeling that somehow I've been short-changed. This one was more disappointing because it was even more two-dimensional.
Troy has gone missing in DC in the process of helping Gabe and Jake to figure out why they are being hunted by a Senator. Claire is ex Army now working security for said Senator. Troy needs her help to get free from his captors who are the security detail. I like Troy and Claire but this scenario is not real solid.

This 3rd book's story line was just as good as the other books. This book was full of action like the other books. I love how this story was about Claire saving Troy instead of Troy saving her. I loved how Claire & Troy worked together, they made a great team. I loved the updates on the other couples as well.

I really enjoyed that the hero in this book was a female. That she was able to come to the rescue of the seasoned veteran. What they can do together to bring the crooked politicians down is incredible team work.
My favorite of all three. The action really started from the first few pages and didn't end. I really liked Troy and Claire's story. Troy was a prisoner and she was his guard. Thanks to her Troy is saved because things were "off". Working together they try to bring down a corrupt politician.
First read in june 2013 Re-read in its new extended edition in august 2016. My prefered one of the series... But theses 3 novellas should be read in a row, as one book ;)
Loved this one! My fave book of the trilogy. Loved the chemistry between hero and heroine. They were perfect for each other and his physical scars were really well written in.
