Sinds Lanfeust met zijn magische zwaard in Eckmül is aangekomen, is hij het proefkonijn geworden van de geleerden van het conservatorium. Zij onderzoeken de invloed van het ivoor van de Magohamoth op Lanfeust. Op een dag lijkt het echter alsof Lanfeust de totale kracht kwijt is. Tot overmaat van ramp heeft Thanos op dat moment gewacht om vanuit de Baronieën met een gigantisch leger op te rukken tegen Eckmül. De stad valt en Thanos wordt de nieuwe heerser. Lanfeust, meester Nicoledes, Cixi, C'ian en Hebus weten met de hulp van de mysterieuze draak Sfax te ontsnappen en vinden asiel in het Rijk van Darshan. Daar proberen ze binnen te dringen in het Paleis der Goden want die kunnen hen vertellen waar de Magohamoth rust. Met de hulp van het mythische dier hopen ze Thanos te verslaan en Eckmül te bevrijden.

Christophe Arleston is the common pen name of French comic book writer and editor Christophe Pelinq. He is best known for creating the Lanfeust of Troy series and its many sequels and prequels.

He also worked as "Scotch Arleston".

Good as always. The plot is very interesting. It's a bit typical in most ways (villain, characters, plot etc) but I can't help to find all of it very charming (except the hyper sexualisation). Can't wait to see where it goes especially Cixi and Thanos whom I'm really enjoying!

Great art but you really have to look closely at all the details to appreciate it. It would be better if it was drawn a little larger, without so many small panels. Even the large panels are minutely detailed landscape and crowd scenes. Tarquin has a fantastic cartooning style, color, and imagination. And his anatomy has improved steadily.

In this volume the heroes travel from the Darshan capital to the palace of the gods in the frozen, mountainous north. They battle hordes of white trolls on a train pulled by kites as well as fight a giant snow-stingray that only attacks downhill.

The palace of the gods is filled with many more interesting creature designs. They head further north in search of an extinct tribe that knows the Magohamoth, battle swoog, and Lanfeust is lost beneath the polar ice.

Cixi also betrays them and murders Bascrean, which was somewhat shocking. An entertaining volume, heading towards the conclusion now.

Bd qui passée 20ans ne se saisit qu'après que la même main ait soulevé quelques bières.
Plaisir facile mais même pas coupable, Lanfeust est caricatural, drôle, épique et remarquablement dessiné. Seul l'hyper-sexualisation me gave.
Les relectures sont toujours aussi plaisantes, il y a un savoir-faire certain et même peu de génie scénaristique là-dedans

Lekka zadyszka, o ile kolejne okrucieństwa Thanosa i watek C'ixi dają radę na dobrym poziomie, to już w wyprawie do Darshańskich bogów, mimo obiecującego początku, nie wszystko wypada jak należy. Choć nadal to bardzo solidne fantasy przygodowe.

Troy est un monde fascinant, o� la magie intervient dans le quotidien de tous. Chacun en effet poss�de un pouvoir, petit ou grand, plus ou moins utile. L'un a le don de figer l'eau en glace, l'autre le pouvoir d'�mettre des pets color�s... Lanfeust, lui, sait fondre le m�tal d'un seul regard. Dans son village, il est donc tout naturellement devenu apprenti chez le forgeron. Mais le contact d'une �p�e venue des lointaines Baronnies r�v�le en lui une puissance exceptionnelle : il ne dispose plus d'un don unique mais d'un pouvoir absolu et illimit�. Accompagn� du vieux sage Nicol�de et de ses deux filles aux caract�res si dissemblables. Lanfeust est emport� dans un tourbillon d'aventures au cours desquelles il croise les plus incongrues, les plus surprenantes et les plus dangereuses des cr�atures.

Lu en audiolib, très immersif même si je préfère avoir les images sur une BD d'habitude. Très reussi. Lu en 2023
