Great lead up to part 2

Well developed, good story line, usual cattle drives, struggles, difficult situations, romance, cheating, sexual activities including consensual and non-consensual, blackmail, lust and revenge. First part takes place in Kansas. Anxious to read part 2.

First of the series

As the first book of a saga, it performs well - developing interesting characters with a provocative tale that ends just as the reader gets settled into it. Well organized story flows well and makes me want to try another in the saga.
