Rapture in Death

Three apparent suicides: a brilliant engineer, an infamous lawyer, and a controversial politician. Three strangers with nothing in common - and no obvious reasons for killing themselves. Police lieutenant Eve Dallas found the deaths suspicious. And her instincts paid off when autopsies revealed small burns on the brains of the victims. Was it a genetic abnormality or a high-tech method of murder?

Ceremony in Death

Conducting a top secret investigation into the death of a fellow police officer has Lieutenant Eve Dallas treading on dangerous ground. She must put professional ethics before personal loyalties. But when a dead body is placed outside her home, Eve takes the warning personally. With her husband, Roarke, watching her every move, Eve is drawn into the most dangerous case of her career.

Vengeance in Death

He is an expert with the latest technology...a madman with the mind of a genius and the heart of a killer. He quietly stalks his prey. Then he haunts the police with cryptic riddles about the crimes he is about to commit - always solved moments too late to save the victims' lives. Police lieutenant Eve Dallas found the first victim butchered in his own home. The second lost his life in a vacant luxury apartment. The two men had little in common. Both suffered unspeakable torture before their deaths. And both had ties to an ugly secret of ten years past - a secret shared by none other than Eve's new husband, Roarke.

This is my first foray into JD RObb. I know I'm late to the party. I am enjoying her audiobooks. Roark and Dallas are an entertaining duo. The twists and turns in this book keep me turning pages. I highly recommend this book.

Love reading these early books. I had the villain pegged before Dallas. It gets harder as they go along! lol

Brilliant, three stories on book tape, following the adventures of Police Officer Lt. Eve Dallas. Read by Susan Ericksen who has a wonderful talent of accents and story telling.

Enjoyed all three of the stories immensely. Took me forever, as I only listen when I iron ... and who rushes to iron!

Thank you J.D. Robb for making a tireless job more enjoyable!

I completely am in love with this series! My only regret is that I can't find them all at my Libraries that I have access to! Specifically I'm looking for them in Audio books as I'm in my car a lot of the time in the day. I have one in my car, and I have a different one I listen to in my bedroom!

Always a pleasure to read her books. I am slightly disappointed that the stories seem to have exactly the same format, which is part of its success I guess, but even this plot has appeared in other books in this series.

I am really happy to have found these books because they are plotted well, the characters interact well together and they are great for an easy read when you want to relax.

I give the overall series a 4. Some books are better than others, naturally. This is an omnibus version with five books. The series is best read in order, but it is not required.

Loved them all but Vengeance in Death was my favorite. I love Eve's way at getting at the killer.
