" Skeletons" was my first read by Shimeka McFadden. It is the story of three friends: Jovanna, Asteria, and Santana. Each pretend to have it all together on the outside but they have some well kept secrets held deep inside of them. Each woman has everything to lose with the exposure of the skeletons hiding in their closets. Will they be able to keep it in or will the truth finally set them free?
This story was fast paced and exciting. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I cringed at certain scenes. The book had closure and didn't feel rushed. 5 stars!

Wow what a devilish read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I will say considering it took a while for me to warm up and get reading it once I got to like the 4th page I was instantly drawn within the fast paced gripping novel that constantly kept me at the edge of my seat. Jovanna, Asteria and Santana all have some deep dark secrets buried underneath their visually perfect lives and constantly try to keep them hidden but as the saying goes "what's done in the dark will soon come to the light!" The only thing that bothered me with this read (and why I could not give it a 5 star) was coming to the last few chapters there were quite a few mistakes. Although the actual story line was fast paced and scandalous. I have to be honest a pet heave of mine is mistakes in regards to characters names etc. As a reader I should not have to be figuring out and correcting who you are talking about. Those that have read the book will understand what I mean. None the less do purchase this book as the complex gripping storyline is still an amazing read, and I guess everyone makes mistakes sometimes.

Great book

This book shows there are all kinds of skeletons in people's closets. Each lady had there own issues and worked hard at keeping those secrets. It was sad how when the skeletons came out the outcome for the ladies was as bad as they thought it would be. I would recommend this book.
