Elle and Dan haven't quite achieved their goal of having sex in every room of their new house--but almost! Marriage hasn't dampened their hunger for one another in the least, and their relationship is as hot and passionate as ever. But when Dan brings up the subject of having a baby together, Elle finds herself conflicted. Between her dysfunctional family background and her fear of how a baby might change their life together, Elle's not sure she's ready for the big step. Dan doesn't bring the subject up again, but the issue takes hold in Elle's mind. And as their frequent lovemaking sizzles with unquenchable desire, Elle's heart is filled to the brim with love and the longing to give Dan everything .
Megan Hart has written in almost every genre of romantic fiction, including historical, contemporary, romantic suspense, romantic comedy, futuristic, fantasy and perhaps most notably, erotic. She also writes non-erotic fantasy and science fiction, as well as continuing to occasionally dabble in horror.

How do I give a 34 page not-even-a-novella book four stars? Well, let me tell you. I decided to read this while eating lunch and to catch up with Dan and Elle since it would only take a bit. And Megan Hart managed to not only pack five...count them, FIVE smoking hot sex(love) scenes into this story, but I actually teared up twice. I had to stop reading to swallow my food because the lump in my throat was too hard to get past. And once again, the excessive sex was actually NOT excessive...it was completely necessary!
This is basically a really long epilogue for the book Dirty. After marriage and time has passed. This is a blip in time in which this couple is thinking about moving on to the next logical step in their relationship...having children. But if you've read Dirty, you know why Elle has some major misgivings about motherhood.
One thing that shines here almost more than the original book is how much Elle loves Dan. She's finally admitted to herself and to him that he saved her, that he filled her life with love.
"I lay there listening to the sound of my husband breathing, and I held on to him with all I had inside me. I'd worried I didn't have enough for him, but time had shown me I was wrong."
This is Elle's journey to a decision that, before Dan, would never have been a dream in her mind. It involves her Mom and the somewhat reluctant bond that is forming between mother and daughter, Chad, Elle's brother and his partner and adopted baby girl, and Marcy, Elle's pregnant best friend. It seems as if the world is conspiring for Elle and Dan to culminate their tumultuous relationship with a baby, and maybe it was. I loved getting this tiny glimpse into what Hart sees for this unforgettable couple.
He thought he was lucky. I was the lucky one, though. Lucky I’d found him, and that he loved me. Luckier I loved him back.
Dirty was one of the first books by Megan Hart I read, and it remains as one of my favorites. Elle and Dan's story pulled at my heartstrings like few did. Despite the ending Dirty had, even despite seeing them in Broken, I was left wondering if they really did find their happily ever after. After everything that happened with them in Dirty, how could I not? This is why I love the fact that Megan makes these "old" characters reappear in newer books. That way I got to see Elle and Dan not only in Broken, but Stranger and Naked, too. Timelinewise Reason Enough would come between Broken and Stranger.
The cameos of Elle and Dan were nice, but having them as main stars again is much better. Given that Reason Enough is a part of Spice Briefs, you can guess it's pretty spicy, and I can tell you you guessed right. For so few pages, there are quite a few hot scenes. What else could you expect from Dan and Elle, really? But even with the page shortage, and abundance of nakedness, this still managed to pull those heartstrings.
Elle was deciding about having a baby, and given the history of her family, and so many issues she had that was not an easy decision. Her mother issues were at the front. Of course. Oh, that woman just rubs me the wrong way. Always has, always will, but it was good seeing some improvement.
Best of all was reading about a happier Elle. Finally.
And I can't believe it, but even a story this short made me cry. I don't know why I'm surprised--this is Megan Hart we're talking about. Still, I thought her Spice Briefs story would spare my tear ducts. Silly me. But I forgive her.
All in all, a great follow-up on Dan and Elle, and a must-read for anyone who read and liked Dirty.
"True love doesn't need a happy ending, because true love never ends."
If you have read Dirty, the story about Dan and Elle, then you should also read this short novella. It's kind of an epilogue to Dirty. Elle and Dan are married now, and Dan would like to have kids. Elle is a bit surprised and can't decide immediately whether she's ready or not. Having children is a big step for her. After all, a woman can be convinced... :)
I'm glad to see Elle again and to know that she's happy and loved. She needed this so badly! Dan is really a wonderful man and he cherishes Elle a lot. He's a good guy!
Dirty was a very special read to me and it was nice to read this short novella. It made me feel good! I've read that Dan has a brother, Sam, and I am really tempted to read "Stranger".
4 stars...I love Dan Stewart and I love Elle for finally loving him the way he deserves to be loved. These two have so much passion and desire for each other, but there was almost too much sex in this short...did I just say that?! I wish we had gotten a little more story. It would have been nice to have an update on Gavin. Still very satisfying and the last two paragraphs were so sweet and really summed up Elle's feelings for Dan. It really choked me up. This was a nice follow up to Dirty!
OMG!!! and i had no clue there was an epilogue until an awesome woman told me so(thanks Lisa xxx)!! Boy, would i have been disappointed had i missed the brief continuation of .
Ok,so you would ask yourself why on earth was i nickle and dimming with the star rating.Well... it was good enough for a 5 star until the last page when it left me craving for perhaps another 10 pages!!! Dont get me wrong Megan H,once again delivered with flawless prose, enchanting subplot, and the realism that often characterizes her work. Her characters do not reach HEA at the whim of a hasty scene or change of heart. Megan sticks to the deep characterization of Elle, her issues with decision making.. and what now involves a married life, and lifelong commitment. I loved the theme of the book!! I just wanted to know what REALLY happened and how, rather than leaving the issue to at the reader`s assumption.
Ok I just had to find out what happened to Elle and Dan, so the next installment of their story seemed like a good idea. Just 33 pages long this is a sweet ending to all the emotional upheaval of the main story, Elle and Dan are married and altho Elle still has OCD issues...her counting everything is still there, altho not so bad as in the past...life is alot happier for them both, so now the next big decsion like for many married couples is whether to try for a baby. Dan is pretty much up for it (it's his suggestion) but knows not to push Elle too much. Elle is very much a 'keep herself to herself' sort of person even with Dan, (like many of us are I suppose), anyway over time she slowly makes her decision.
A nice epilogue to Dirty, well worth the read if you like Elle and Dan.
Sometimes I'm not sure whether a long drawn out epilogue would live up to my expectation because just being happy with a lot of sex doesn't make up a good read. But Reason Enough really did blew me away with only 45 pages. Damn. Megan Hart is still able to make me feel so much with only a novella. She cramped a few hot sex scene, Elle's inner turmoil on her decision whether to have a child or not and all sorts of emotion running through her in a few short pages.
Dan is amazing as always, isn't he always is? Elle and Dan are now married and he is bringing up the question of having a baby. Elle instantly balked at the idea, she had made a terrible mum. Dan who is always being patience towards her didn't pressure her on the issue.
We get to catch up on Elle's relationship with her mum and brother, Chad. We also got Marcy, who is now so very pregnant with her first child. Is great to see Elle surrounded herself with friends and family and all the love.
I'm love this little novella to see Dan and Elle settled into their marriage life. But it kept me wanting more.
Dan and Elle are my favorite! I loved hearing more of their story and because I feel that I know them so well I think I know how the next steps and stages in their life will play out. I just love it when I feel I know the characters enough to say that (:
It was nice to see this couple together and in a happy place after the heaviness of the first book, however, it was a novella and super short and probably would have been better as an epilogue in the first book.
Já bych to nezvládla a neudělala. Udělat mi to, co ona jí. Díky bohu, že takovéhle věci nikdy nebudu muset řešit. Na to mě mají rodiče až moc rádi.
Líbila se mi i kratičká přítomnost jejího bratra a její kamarádky Marcy. Celkově se novelka pěkně četla. Škoda, že Megan nenapsala celou další knihu. I když chápu, že by nejspíš neměla o čem psát.
---------Reakce po dočtení knihy--------- Klidně mohla napsat celou knížku...
Disappointing. Blah. I expected so much more. I knew from the cover that it was about Elle and Dan talking about having a baby. Well it never really went anywhere. It didn't leave me feeling satisfied.
SPOILER:::
the ending sucked! I at least thought she would discuss it with Dan or let him know she would say yes. I so wanted to hear what he would say. But nothing.... The sex scenes were good but that was it.
I 100% needed this little extra visit with Elle and Dan from Dirty. Of the six Megan Hart books I've read to date, they are my two favorite characters. Being able to revisit them and see how their story has progressed was wonderful. I still need more of Elle and Dan, but I'm told they make appearances in other Hart books. (Can't wait!) Great story, definitely worth a read.
After reading Megan Hart's Dirty, I felt I needed more. Thanks to Mahyar (My friend on GR) - told me about this ebook and it is exactly what I needed to help round out the ending of the story.
Elle and Dan get their HEA!!! "Dirty" ended with a "Happyish Ever After," but I was still relatively satisfied. "Reason Enough" is the perfect epilogue for "Dirty" and I couldn't ask for more!
This is a very short story that gives us an update on the two main characters, Elle and Dan, from the book Dirty. The end of Dirty for Elle and Dan had kind of a "happy for now" sort of feel. So although we were happy for them, it was more of a realistic ending, as opposed to them being blissfully happy and never foreseeing any problems. Then in the book Broken, we get a glimpse at Elle in therapy. Although the book isn't about them, we get some updates on their relationship and how it's going. Now, in this short story, their relationship comes full circle and we finally get their "happily ever after" -- well as HEA as Megan Hart will allow for. :)
Now, it's very short and I wouldn't recommend it to someone who hasn't already read Dirty, and preferably Broken as well. I probably wouldn't have appreciated it as much, and I might not have even liked it if I hadn't read those first. But, in this story, Elle and Dan are married now and contemplating having children. Elle is dealing with her past still, trying to finally overcome some of her hangups and coming to terms with where her life and her and Dan's relationship is as the moment. What I like about this story, and Megan Hart's writing in general, is the realistic side of it. In so many romance novels these days people don't seem to think about the repercussions or the responsibility involved in the decisions to marry and have children. But in this story, Elle is level-headed and thinks about things before jumping into them. I like that. It's real and I appreciate that.
The story doesn't reveal anything crazy and it's probably not even necessary to read, but it's a nice little update, and at just 33 pages (ebook style), it's worth the read. On a side note, the next book, Stranger is about Dan's brother, Sam.

I met Dan and Elle in Dirty, Megan Hart's first Harlequin Spice release. I loved that book.
I won't rehash the storyline because the blurb does that amazingly well. What I will tell you is that I absolutely LOVED this book. It's rare to find an author who can write as poignantly as Megan Hart, what's even rarer is finding an author who can write short stories that are just as deep, touching, and moving. This story was more than I imagined it to be. I thought, "A short story about Elle and Dan! Yay!" I read the blurb and expected Elle to be at war with her feelings regarding a baby (which she was). What I didn't expect was so much to be packed into so few words. It was about Elle but we also got to see so many other people in her life and what they mean to her and how they help her form her decision as to whether or not she's ready to have a baby. In the end, the decision she makes comes from her heart. I love how well Dan fits her. He just lets her make her own decisions. He may plant the seed of thought there, but he doesn't push. THAT is what makes them perfect together.
I love follow-up stories like this. Thank goodness for Spice Briefs because otherwise we may not have had another chance to visit with Dan and Elle. I can't help but wonder if Ms. Hart will, at some time in the future, let us drop in on Elle and Dan and see what's new in their lives once again. I know they've got their happily-ever-after and that alone can sustain me, but I like Elle and her complexity. She's real. Megan Hart has quickly become on of my favorite authors... and now that I know she writes such amazing Spice Briefs, I'm going to go get her other one, This Is What I Want.
4 Stars What?! That’s it? Are you kidding me? We don’t even get to see the kid? I mean.....arghh! That was just too short and gave me so little of what I expected. But still, it was lovely to see how Dan and Elle are now (especially Elle).
