Rate this book
You want to be part of something extraordinary—something bigger than yourself. But how? Everyday life can seem so ordinary and small. Is it possible to live in a way that matters? Can we really change the world? According to the butterfly effect, small things can make a big impact. One life—your life—can make a world of difference. You can create lasting change when you begin small, act where you are, and stay faithful over the long haul. Glenn Packiam uses time-tested principles from Scripture and history to form a roadmap for changing your world, forever. Butterfly in Brazil is an empowering call for action—right here and right now.

Originally I gave this title 4 stars. I am revising my stars to zero.

The reason I am doing so is that since reading this title, several things about my faith journey and expression have changed and I no longer subscribe to evangelical ideologies.

I think there are some books that you enjoy more in certain seasons of your life. I thought the book was ok, but there was a lot of mini stories that distracted me from the main point. Each story was inspiring, but there were so many it seemed like a sermon illustration book than something on Nehemiah. I think if I was in college this would have really spoken to me. Now, It didn't as much.

A good book. Worth reading if you want some practical ways to make an impact in life, especially if you are planning on living in the states. I felt it was a little too tame at times, but Packiam is very reasonable with his approach. This book was worth the time I spent reading it.

What an enjoyable read! Love the book of Nehemiah, and truly this book drove home the idea again that each of us must abandon the quick fix mentality pervasive in our world and should be faithful in the small things wherever we find ourselves!

Simple read. Straight forward. Not revolutionary information but timely for me. I loved it but I'm not sure it's because of the caliber of the book. It very well could have been the season in which I read it.

Follows the story of Nehemiah, and teaches about how to live a life that has more of impact for the Kingdom. The stories in this book were my favorite part.
