Z chłopaka „w krótkich spodenkach” stał się bezwzględnym graczem. Donald Tusk.
There is a saying that when asked during a job interview about your three biggest weaknesses you should say something like: obsessive punctuality, workoholism and sacraficing family life for your job.
This book is written in a similar manner. It is supposed to uncover "dirt" about Donald Tusk and his party, but it only tries to justify his actions. He is not lazy - he just wants to be fresh before important meetings, so he sleeps a lot. He is not a socialist - he just cannot lower taxes because the "economic crisis" makes him raise them. He did not disclose top secret data which only he knew to his corrupt friends - they just figured it out for themselves. And this is the whole book.
It lists events, which everybody even remotely interested in politics must know, as some revelations, but fails to remind readers of the most crucial ones: how almost all the media, including public TV and radio, is rooting for them (and the elections were won also through their help), PO's connections with the secret services and their (ex?)communist agents, the "Parialement speaker scandal" (trying to get to the secret report about the verification of Military Information Services) to name but a few.
I read the book hoping that I would learn something new. The only remotely interesting part was the description of how Jaroslaw Kaczynski was being persuaded by his friend to run for president. But that was only half a page.
Summarizing, this book looks like it was ordered by Tusk himself or someone from his surrounding.
P.S. A sad epilogue is the result of this year's election results in Poland. PO won and will be ruling for another 4 years...
