A Man's Desire

Nick Reagan has been biding his time, waiting for the right moment to approach the brilliant and beautiful woman who so often frequents his downtown pub. As Viv's secret life unfolds, Nick realizes he's the least of her worries, and that she just might need him more than she ever imagined.

A Battle's Turning Point

A mystical war is being waged on the streets of Savannah, and the dark side is raising the stakes. Viv and Nick find themselves in the center of chaos as the Amara fight for their demon and a future filled with blood. Viv has a choice to make. Should she find the strength to let Nick in, or will loving him destroy them all?

Suza can spin a tale with the best of them. 3 books down and I'm thoroughly hooked on the Savannah Coven. Suza has also managed to accomplish what few authors manage to do. Make me laugh and cry with the same book. She is now ranked up there in my eyes with Laurel K Hamilton, Patricia Briggs, and Ashlyn Chase.

Another really great book from one of my favorite writers. Her Savannah Coven series are made up of nine very interesting and strong witches each with a unique power. They each have to complete a task to keep the Amara from gaining power. Not only do I love her female characters but you can't help falling in love with each of the men her ladies fall in love with. They are not just there for eye candy, they are each strong and interesting individual, something you dont find in most novels about a group of women. I really enjoy learning about the craft along with some of her characters who did not discover they were witches until they were drawn to Savannah. We get to learn along with them. Suza also throws in plot twists that you do not see coming so you are always wondering what is going to happen next. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves adventure and romance with alot of the supernatural thrown in for good measure.

After reading the first two books in this series, I was hooked on Suza Kates' books. I love anything to do with witches, and I once again simply flew through this book. In my opinion, all three books in this series are excellent and I am eagerly awaiting the next book. I am currently reading Suza's book, She Who is Hidden, which has nothing to do with witches or Wicca, but I find that fascinating as well. I am normally drawn to books written by authors such as James Rollins, Steve Berry, David L. Golemon, etc. but since finding and reading Suza's books, I have a new favorite author!

Loved it! This author just gets better and better with each book. I could not put it down. Adored Viv and I fell a little in love with Nick in a wine cellar. Really disappointed that I have to wait for the next installment.

Wow! I have to repeat myself in saying that each of these books in this series just keeps getting better. In this book it's Viv who has been chosen for her trial. Viv talent is Telekinesis. She is also a physicist who has a need to be in control. She meets Nick who owns and operates the local pub they hang out in. Nick and Viv find they strong attraction that is growing between them impossible to fight and give in. As with all the witches nothing is ever easy when it comes to worrying about the ones they love and the evil that they get drawn into with their trails. It's almost Halloween and things come to a head and in this book a life is lost. Things get harder and the witches fight harder. I once again recommend this series. I'm very much looking forward to book four and pre-order book six that comes out in June. I would guess this will be at least a nine book series since the Savannah coven consists of nine witches. But, I wonder about Quinn's story. Read on and see if you enjoy this books as much as I did :-)

Oh man, I loved this one two. I've been reading a lot more young adult books lately, but happened upon this series and its made me remember how much I enjoy romance, too. The romance doesn't take over the books, but its apparent that each coven member will need to find their soulmate as part of their trial. Yay!

I can't wait for the next one...

Just as quickly as I read books one and two, I blasted through this book too. I read all three books over about four days. The story is predictable and follows a familiar formula, but the telling of the story is witty and keeps my attention. This is a series that I highly recommend.

Book three is again set about three months after Willyn's trial. This time the book focuses on Vivienne Sakurai, or Viv for short. She is a true scientist and refuses to see the mystical side of being a witch. She is determined to find a way to scientifically explain her gift. Her life is very controlled and void of any chaos (well aside from being a witch fulfilling a prophecy to keep a demon down!). It was interesting to read how her character handles each situation as her ordered life takes a tailspin.

This is the first book that had a tragedy in it and made it a little more realistic. If you are fighting a supernatural war between good and evil... then there has to be casualties. I also liked that the author started taking a few more risks with the relationships that develop in each of her books, but I don't want to give anything away so I will stop there. I recommend this book, and simply cannot wait for the next installment!!

This is the first book in her series where there was a point….well, it’s difficult without spoilers…but lets just say there are some serious things that happen to the witches, and unfortunately most specifically to Viv, to make them (and those of us reading along) understand just how serious their situation is not only to them, but to those around them.

As always, LOVED the book, and Suza Kates never lets us down with supremely hot men added to each book, and an every growing bond between a sisterhood that I think every reader wishes we had. These are amazing women that have become sisters in a battle to save the world, and still manage to laugh and have fun together – and with their hot men! No book has every made me feel like I was actually jealous of the characters, but even though their lives are in danger ALL the time, I truly wish when I read this, that I could be a part of such an amazing coven – along with my matching cat and hot man! 5 out 5 start! ~Erin

Binding of a Witch is a fun light read full of spunky characters. Viv and her "sisters" feel like your long lost friends from college, except that they are witches guarding humanity from pain and horror.

Viv takes her turn at the trial, confident she will be able to handle the answers she finds. And her confidence isn't far off the mark though before she passes the test she just might have to rely on the handsome bartender with the great eyes.

Nick runs his bar like it is an extension of himself. He is great with people, or at least he thinks he is until he tries out his wiles on Viv. The give and take between these two is cute and sweet. Its easy to fall for Nick, you will find yourself immediately on his side. Though some big bads are not in his side. Good thing he just acquired a bunch of witches as friends.

This book is perfect for a nice sunny afternoon. Not too deep or scary, just fun.

Good story with the usual thread of the witch under trial starts with a weakness that she comes to grips with by the end. This time however, there is a murder of someone close to the coven. Quick and entertaining read.

All of the 9 witches in the Savannah Coven must complete a challenge without dying. Two have succeeded and Viv is now on-deck. Each of the witches have a magical gift and Viv's is the ability to transport objects. As she tries to complete her challenge, she must also deal with her own personal demons witch include an inability to relinquish control to anyone or anything. Throw in an evil witch who is trying to resurrect a demon, her consorts, and a budding romance in Viv's life and you have a great story line.

Each book gets better

This book have background and current story of third witch, Vivi, a physicist with the power of telekinesis. The story is about her trial period against the Amaran and the Black Witch and the Demon they are attempting to release after 300 years of its being magically banished. The stories all take place in Savannah, Georgia. A haunted city in its own right. I think this was as good as Book 1 and better than Book 2. Like Book 1 & 2 it also deals with a love story. On to Book 4 and witch number 4........

Love In All Forms

Another mystical, magickal tale of good vs. evil, and how good triumphs, albeit sometimes too late. This is a story about love. True love, and how it answers some questions we didn't even know we had. And... true love doesn't always come in romantic form!!!

Third book in a fine fluff series. Tendency to romantic entanglement and suspense. Bit gory. Fast read, if you can power through descriptions of ugh and gore.

Viv Sakurai, scientist and next to face her trial and the Amara. Viv must locate the sacred burial ground, as she defends herself against the Amara. She is distracted by Nick Reagan, the owner of her favorite pub. What does Nick hold that suddenly brings them together. Once the burial ground is located and Viv accepts the powers of good and evil, the Amara choses to kill an innocent. The battle rages not only with the Amara but with Nick as well. It is Viv's lessons and acceptance that bring them all together.

Decent installment in the series. They're fun, if a bit predictable. Must find love to unlock magic, etc... Would prefer there was more action outside the bedroom, but on the whole an enjoyable, if predictable read.

I didn't relate as much to the third main character of the series, and the romance part started MUCH too early in the book, but I did enjoy the story and will continue to read the series to find out what happens in the next books.

Viv spoke to me through the poetic words of Suza Kates and her amazing Savannah series. This book takes you into the nightlife of Savannah so accurately you will feel like you are there. The women in the series keep getting stronger, and their bond gets tighter knit as they open up to one another. Nick is the perfect white knight without taking away from the strong attributes Viv possesses. I must keep reading this series!
