3.5* I really liked this book. It spent a lot of time with Hailey and Andi in their year together in high school and we got to see their friendship develop with hopes of maybe something more before they part ways. But when they get back together, I felt a lot of things could have been explored more to add a little more depth to their adult selves (ei...Chris and Andi's relationship, MS and Hailey's dad). i also felt it ended rather abruptly. Regardless of all that, I really enjoyed the read and the little rollercoaster of Hailey and Andi's relationship.
I almost loved this book. I hate it when a person is in a relationship with someone and then they leave this person for an old flame. Like are you fucking kidding me? If I was Erin, Andi would be the last person I would wish happiness to. Like fuck no. And then these old flames that just don't die out are also a pain in the ace. And then Kendall, hmmm... I couldn't even with this reveal. She was even more sad about her old flame leaving than her leaving her own daughter. Haahhaa... Ok... That just makes me bitter. How can a freaking genius and knows a lot about sciences fucks a guy with an old condom. ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY?... I almost felt something for that scene when they were crying their fucking eyes out but I was so damn pissed to enjoy the scene.
And there was no time phrase telling... I hate jumpings. Though I like Andi's mom. She's my favorite character. More like her job. Nursing student here.
This is a story about two intelligent young women that meet in high school. Not only do they support each other but they grow close until an intimate encounter causes them to go their separate way. A surprising occurrence brings them together again. Andi Littman smart, caring and introspective. Haley Corregan smart, attractive and misunderstood. I enjoyed following Haley and Andi from high school, college, graduate school and into their careers.
