I have published over twenty books - poetry, travel, novels, etc. I live in Cartagena, Spain. I am writing a book on the Sierra Minera and working on anew poetry collection. My last published book was my Selected Poems. My hobbies are snorkelling, mineralogy, hill-walking, music, Kyokushin karate, cycling and fishing.
Not that I've been as into reading poetry books as I've been into reading literature, this book contains some of the most relatable poetry I've ever read concerning sex, love, relationships and body image. This feels so intimate, that of course you pretty much have to be in agreement with Fiona to fully enjoy it, and that I did, I found beautifully articulated reflections of myself. It was a very happy, reassuring, grounding experience.
F.P-K's poetry is quite near the...ahem!...knuckle...& other parts of anatomy! How many ways are there to encapsulate in a single phrase or poem the ecstasy of her sexual strike rate?! Raunchy, vulgar & robustly organ-grinding...but a very entertaining alternative to Emily Dickinson or what's her name?...you know...the one with a socio-political-feminist point to make...which doesn't include...mutual, consensual sex with the opposite 'gender'?!!
