Such a beautifully written story of love and the struggles of the working class. The setting is so magical and the characters are loved despite their flaws. I had a tear in my eye when I finished the book. I will no doubt read it again during autumn next year.

My favourite book of all time. Charming, gentle, romantic, and often extremely funny. I re-read this every September, and it brings me as much delight now as it did the first time.
