Queer Street

Rate this book
Picador Street, 1990s. Known affectionately (and sometimes not so!) by the locals as Queer Street. Matthew lives here. His life consists of a dead end job, a love life that's equally terminal, and a neighbour and best friend (and self proclaimed Fag Hag) Penny. His social life consists of the local gay pub, or nights in with the company of the TV. So when a young man called Paul starts at his place of work, Matthew is unprepared for the ever escalating series of events that surround their developing romance. And he's just one of the occupants! There's Terry, dyke with attitude, who falls for newcomer Joanne, a timid girl with a love of anything fattening. There's Terry's brother, Bradley, stunningly good looking and boringly straight. And their mother, Clarice, a statuesque, well meaning busybody. A eclectic gaggle of people, all about to get to know each other a whole lot better!
