This is an illuminating account of the transformational experiences of renown spiritual leaders from across the years since the time of Christ. Most impressive is that this is a collection of original sources. The commentary on each person is measured - the major focus is the carefully chosen first-person accounts of the spiritual experiences that were pivotal in each leader's walk with God. The variety of types of experiences was very insightful for me and refreshing to see how God meets with individuals who are seeking Him and how profound the changes can be.

Inspiring first-hand accounts of numerous conversion experiences of Christians throughout the ages (1st through 20th centuries). The highlighted believers, most well-known historically, come from a variety of backgrounds and traditions. Each chapter begins with a short bio and commentary that puts the primary source material in context. This was an insightful primer that served, for me at least, as an introduction to some lesser known figures about whom I'd like to know more. I used this book as a devotional and was amazed (and humbled) at the variety of paths people have taken to find Christ - and the variety of paths Christ has used to find them.
