This best-selling classic has sold nearly 2 million copies in over 90 languages around the world. This repackaged edition contains all the same material as the classic--125 of the best-loved stories from the Bible, retold in simple words by Kenneth N. Taylor. Each story is illustrated with beautiful art by Richard and Francis Hook. Preschoolers and beginning readers will be excited to call this Bible their own.
This is the best storybook Bible we've read with our toddler. The stories are one page, it has a question at the end of each one, and the pictures are not cartoonish. We will read the slightly longer version next!
This is an excellent Bible for very young children! From my experience it is most suited for 0-2 year olds. (My 3 year old already finds it too simplistic.)
The stories are short, one page summaries, which is fine if there is some familiarity with the story, but isn’t what I’m looking for right now. I’ll return to it in a year or so. For now, I will switch to a storybook Bible that has several pages and multiple illustrations per story, to better explain each story. I also wasn’t impressed with the illustrations, which were painted in colors that sometimes made it hard to clearly see what was happening
Gee, I don't know how old my book is but the version I have is pink...maybe faded. This is a perfect bible for elementary grade students. Each right sided page is illustrated and has big text on each left page.
