Before being a publisher Richard was a full time writer with over 60 books published on a wide range of subjects including business, astrology, alternative medicine, Chinese culture, sex and humour (not all in any one book though). Before being a writer - although that was what he always wanted to do - he did many jobs including being a casino general manger, business consultant, cave guide and stress management consultant (again never all at one time).

His first book for his own publishing company – The Voice of Tobacco - came out in September 2003. It is Richard's own journal of giving up smoking.
He wrote Out Of Your Townie Mind which was published in May 2004 and it guides the townie through their dream of escaping to the countryside.

Quite literally one of the dumbest books I've ever attempted to read. Not because of the subject, but because the author is highly pretentious and ill-advised on a number of the apparent scientific facts.

I don't believe in Astral Projection but I enjoyed this book. It deals with an esoteric subject in a pragmatic, non-sensationalist way and made me want to investigate further.

It's slim and covers topics very briefly but, then, it's a beginners guide. It clearly states that fact in the title. My one criticism is that some of the factual claims and case histories could name their sources more precisely for cross-referencing and corroboration. That's just me. I doubt anyone with a life will care.

I give the book a three, but it's a friendly three and I would happily read more by the author.

One last point to make: Astral Projection: A Beginner's Guide was first published in 1996, so you will find wider (and wilder) information on the internet. You'll have to go online to get it, though, and proximity to electronic equipment will hamper your attempts to leave your body. See, I learned something.
