Rate this book
Alternate cover for this ISBN can be found here

Trapped-Legend is the 3rd book in the Legend series, although each of the first three books stand on their own.

Magical powers, a castle, and a charming prince sound like the ingredients for a fairy-tale life, but for BJ Mulroy, reality turns out to be a whole lot more complicated.

BJ is a Fios, which means she can see both the Seelie and the Unseelie Fae even when they invoke the Feth Fiada that makes them invisible to most humans. She hadn’t asked for the magical power, and often she wishes she couldn’t see the evil drones who are appearing more and more often in our human world. But see them she does, and she can’t ignore the danger they pose—nor her responsibility as a Fios to combat the Dark Fae.

The castle is Castlesand, the ancestral home of her new husband, Brian, a warm and caring Druid high priest with only a few months to live. Though they care for each other, the marriage is a strategic alliance rather than a love match. Brian needs BJ’s help in making sure Castlesand doesn’t fall into the clutches of a dangerous relative who wants the estate no matter what he has to do and who he has to hurt—including Brian and BJ—to get it.

The charming prince is Danté, a Fae royal who is too attractive for any woman’s sanity. But while she’s as hot-blooded as the next woman. BJ does not want to be the plaything of an immortal prince, no matter how yummy he is. Besides, there’s the matter of the seventeenth-century hunk in the painting.

I loved the characters in the book and the emotions that went from beginning to end . The adventure and the pace are excellent. I had trouble putting book down. I am definitely telling everyone it's a must read as is rest of series I have read so far. Claudy has a way with words that are beautiful and full of feeling. I definite thumbs up five star rating.

Title: Trapped (Legend #3)
Author: Claudy Conn
Page count: 234
Genre: Paranormal romance
My rating: 5/5
Publisher: Amazon
Published: December 20th, 2011
Summary: BJ is a Fios (Seer) which means she can see the Fae-dark or light, through their Glamour and their invisibility. The war between the two forces of Fae has heated up and BJ is being drawn into the fray.

There is a 17th century hunk who wants to help-but he is trapped. There is a murderer helping the Dark Fae who desperately wants BJ dead, and a Prince of Fae--Danté who is on the spot willing to keep her close. BJ has reasons to distrust everyone...and she does

My Thoughts
These books just keep getting better and better. As more of the series goes by we get introduced to new fae and worster... More worst problems... Yah get what I’m saying I hope. Well I loved the painting problem in the book, that was amazing, and I was not expecting it. :)
I love this cover!

The Reivew
SO once again we’re faced with the love triangle. Who will BJ accept, and truthfully you don’t know for a while. If you like suspense that builds up to a tidal wave of emotions then this is your book.
Again with the painting, it was different and you wouldn't expect it unless you were a super genius. He is my favorite character in the series so far, a certain fae character coming close behind him. ;)
Now the battle is really coming together. The war is starting. Just thought you’d like to know that, even if you already knew it. Easily entertained, er the fights are well detailed, but not overly done a super long - I can keep up with it.
BJ’s relationship with Brian was amazing. It was about the physicalness of a relation, but the mental stability of keeping one alive. Let’s just say if he the murderer (not telling you;} ) was alive in real life, I’d cut him and do what women do best. Yell and attack him like a savage animal.

I would give this book 6 stars if I could, it was absolutely incredible, and a great way to continue the Legend series!!!

It continues the story of the Seelie Fae and the impending war they are fighting with Gaiscioch, and the Unseelie Fae from the Dark Realm.

The story introduces us to several new characters, and let me tell you I have a few that I would go into the book for myself, if I could. ;)

*Dante, is a Royal Fae Prince, who is given an assignment, from the Queen, to watch over BJ Mulroy and Brian Carrick. Dante has not had the experience with humans that Prince Breslyn has, and is worried that he is not the best candidate. This changes once Dante meets BJ and he is determined to protect her.

*BJ Mulroy, is a Fios, who is able to see both Seelie and Unseelie Fae. She has a lot to learn about herself and the powers she has not yet realized that she is capable of. Once Brian Carrick walks into her bar, this puts events in motion that will change her in ways she never thought possible.

*Brian Carrick, is a Druid high priest, who finds himself in New York for business and meets BJ Mulroy. They become fast friends and he realizes that she is the answer to his prayers. He shares his secret with her and makes a "Proposition" to her to help him ensure that his family home doesn't end up in the wrong hands.

The story that unfolds between these characters is one that I truly enjoyed, and I'm so grateful that I found this series. It has all of the things you love in a book: suspense, love, heartbreak, betrayal, action, shock, and lots of hot steamy romance. This book will keep you enthralled from the first page, and you will find (like I did) that you are unable to put it down. Thanks again Claudy for another AMAZING book!!!

Legend Series Book 3
BJ Mulroy’s life hadn’t been easy. Losing her parents at age twelve and then living with Aunt Lisa who wasn’t really “parent” material and who misused BJ’s meager inheritance. And yet BJ was a survivor. Working and trying to make her way through school. One day all her struggles came to a stand still when she met a wealthy Irishman who knew her deepest secret. He made her a proposition she couldn’t refuse and it would change who she was forever.

The Legend series evolves a bit with every book. The veil between the Seelie and Unseelie world is getting thinner. Gaiscioch is getting stronger, but then so are the hero's and heroines and the war is getting closer. We meet Dante the Royal Prince of Lugh, who has avoided humans for centuries and is now sent to oversee BJ. A job that should have been hands off and watch from a distance, right? Nope, not when you are dealing with one of these alpha Royal Fae males who sees a beautiful woman. And then there is Daremont Calahan Carrick from the seventeenth century….or at least his full size life-like painting that dominates the study at Castlesand.

If you read my reviews, you will notice that I did, in fact, review two other books from this series in the past couple of days. I can not help myself. I can not stop reading them. I stayed up most of the night reading this one. I may have a Claudy Conn problem ;). There were a couple of things in this book I really loved. I loved BJ's relationship with Bryan. The friendship and kinship they found with each other was easy to believe and understand as improbable as the situation was. I also really loved that this book connected the past to the present. I this was not my favorite in the series, but it still was a great read. It continued the main story arc nicely and introduced us to some new characters. I am really looking forward to the final "battle" when all of these characters will come together. I love this fae series!!!

I laughed, cheered, cried and was swept away by this lovely tale

I have to say that this is my favorite book in the Legend Series. This was a very fun read and BJ was great. I loved this character!! I felt a certain kinship with this tough, funny and kind woman. Being a Gulf War Veteran, I tend to like strong female characters. Believe it or not, BJ meets a man at the bar where she tends that will change her life. Will it be for the better or worse? I won't spoil it for you but she is certainly strong enough to handle either outcomes. If you like a gal with grit and two hunks vying for her attention, then you will enjoy this one. This is the third in the series and can definitely stand alone. (less)

Claudy Conn has done it again. Just when I think I have my favorite in the Legend Series, she introduces some very strong and interesting characters. BJ Mulroy from NY has some special powers as she is a Shee Fios (she can see Seelie and Unseelie Fae), Brian Carrick, a Druid High Priest, is trying to keep his lands out of his cousins hands, Dante a Royal Fae Prince sent to watch over BJ, and Daremont Carrick from the 17th century and trapped in a painting. The struggle is on and the stakes are high in this battle against the villain, Gaisioch, a once Light Fae turned Dark trapped in the Dark Realm. Claudy Conn had me holding my breath a lot throughout this story and afraid to turn the page at times. The book has all you could want in a story- betrayal, suspense, heartbreak, and love. I will definitely be re-reading this again. Please read the series, you will absolutely be drawn in and enthralled. Highly Recommend it!!

Loved this book that builds on the 'Legend' story....

We meet BJ who has not had an easy life, losing her parents early but she has a secret... she can see the Dark Fae who are coming to Earth more frequently.
BJ meets Brian who knows she can see Fae because he can sense them.. but he also has secrets...one of them is that he is dying....They marry and she moves to Ireland.

BJ becomes the focus of a Fae prince Dante, who has never lost what he wants. Dante is friend to Brian..

She also meets another man who lives in the house but not in the conventional sense ...

Dare could talk to Brian but he believes BJ is just a fortune-hunter .. and he does not share Brian's conviction that she can help him

What a marvelous adventure!!!

This book starts off with a recap of the previous helping you to refresh. I have been lucky enough to read this series one book after the next :)

Seriously talking about an amazing story line.. I love it! The queens prince’s are total trouble! I am LOVING IT! They know they are all that LOL

Ireland backdrop, lots of vivid details bringing you into this world with ease.

BJ and Brian’s story made me cry my eyes out, laugh out loud so many times. Add in Dare and Dante into the mix and you get an epic story with lots of emotion. Claudy’s writing pulls emotion out of me.

3 Books into the series and it keeps getting better and better… Absolutely magical and mesmerizing…

This one is my favorite, really! In the beginning this book is heart wrenching, but it was a necessary part of the story. BJ and Dare are amazing and the story they weave is captivating to say the least. The book kept me going from start to finish and every where in between!

This story was a bit longer which made me really happy! I can't wait for the next from Claudy Conn!

Probably my favorite book in this series so far. This book made me cry, laugh, and rejoice...

However, I am noticing that most of the author's female main characters seem the same - different looks and different abilities, but similar stories. Each has suffered tragedy and loss early in life. Each is mostly on her own, by her own choice. All are Shee Fios, but none see herself as a warrior or even that tough. But each becomes an integral part of the battle between Gaisioch and Queen Aaibhe to save the Fae and humans from Gais unleashing the Unseelie on them and taking over the Earth.

BJ Mulroy's parents died when she was young. She went to live with her only relative, Aunt Lisa. But Aunt Lisa was young herself and didn't want to be saddled with raising BJ, especially when BJ showed signs of being a beauty. So at 16, Aunt Lisa set BJ up with an apartment over a restaurant in little Roslyn, NY (suburb of NYC on north Long Island). BJ only learned when it came time for college that the way Aunt Lisa "set her up" was to use all of her small inheritance and all of her college funds. So she got used to working her way through school. She's tough in that she's got street smarts, but she's kind and sweet. She's also a Shee Fios.

One day, into the restaurant/bar that she works in walks Brian Carrick from Kilkenny, Ireland. Brian is a very powerful Druid priest - he and his family are beloved of the queen. But Brian is dying; he has cancer that was in remission until he was poisoned by his evil cousin Derrick. The poison started shutting down his organs, and so Brian will die - it's just a matter of when.

Brian wants to stop Derrick from inheriting his castle, his title, and his Druid powers. When he and BJ become really great friends, he finally confides in her, because he realizes who and what she is. Brian asks BJ to marry him. By doing so, she'll keep Derrick from inheriting... until the "real" Carrick heir can appear and take on the mantle of Druid priest and take the title. In return, Brian will set BJ up with a lovely cottage of her own and enough money to keep her financially safe for the rest of her life. BJ isn't sure about all of this, except that she loves her best friend Brian and would do anything for him.

But who is this heir? And why does Brian talk to the painting in his study? Can BJ keep Derrick from inheriting? Can she keep him from killing her?

Prince Dante the Fae prince of the House of Lugh is the featured Fae in this story. He's assigned to guide and guard BJ, but he's none to happy about it. Dante was friends with one of Brian's great-grandfathers, Daremont Carrick, who mysteriously disappeared one night. Since then, Dante has avoided human contact; it's too easy to become attached and involved with them, and Dante doesn't want to get hurt any longer.

But can Dante resist the pull he feels towards BJ? BJ is the "key" to releasing the Carrick heir, but she's had no training in her Shee Fios ways... can she do it?

Another love triangle... another inevitable match. But, IMO, a bit more imagination in this story that furthers the Legend - the battle between Gaisoich and Queen Aaibhe. I enjoyed reading this one very much.

Side note: The more I read, though, the more similarities I also see between this series and KMM's series - elements of both the Highlander series and the Fever series. Hmm...

REVIEW:

Bj Mulroy was 12 when her parents were killed in a car accident.
She was then sent to live with her aunt Lisa who really had no clue how to raise a child . As Bj got older her aunt decided that Bj needed her own place as Aunt Lisa was highly jealous of the beauty that Bj was. Bj carried a secret she could see fae and other things such as dark fae . She met Brian Carrick and soon discovered he was a High Druid Priest and he knew she was a Shee Fios . Brian was also dying of cancer. Brian was Bj's bestest male friend. She goes to Ireland as Brian's wife.. Now enter Dante' Prince of Lugh who was given the assignment of
watching BJ Mulroy by the Queen and he was very irritated at this request as he really did not enjoy watching the humans as they were not immortal and died and he felt that was a waste and he preferred to
be in battle after all he was a warrior. Although Dante' had to admit to even himself that Bj Mulroy was a beauty and he found himself intrigued.

Then we have Daremont Carrick he is also a High Druid Priest who was thought dead? although Brian
knows the truth of this . Daremont has been trapped in a painting for over 300 years and he believes Bj can save him. She also ends up facing Gaiscioch all alone at first ..

This book was a wonderful emotional ride I went from Sad, to happy to excited.

I want to say this was my favorite book by far but I have a feeling They are all going to be my favorites

Love this series. Love is in every book. Great big hunks, smart and wise heroines and of course the bad guys...ugly, gooey, slimy ones led by Gais the traitor Fae.
In this one Daremont Carrick as been locked/trapped in a picture for more than 300 years by a Gypsy lady. Finaly BJ a Irish/Fae as the brain to free him and falls in love with him. But poor Danté a Prince of Fae friend of Daremont is also in love with BJ.

I downloaded this as a freebie, and it wasn't until after I finished reading it that I realized it is book 3 in a series. I never got the feeling that I was missing information. The story flowed, and I enjoyed it. I'm a sucker for tales about the Fae, and this was a good one. I have since gone on and downloaded all but one of the books in this series. Looking forwarded to more of Claudy Conn's work.

3.5 stars.
I am a huge fan of Claudy Conn's Legend series, and have become sucked into the world of the Seelie Fae. Just as with the first books there were things I did and didn't like, but at the end of the day, I'm still a big fan and plan to continue with the series.

Things I liked:
1. Prince Dante of Lugh. While I loved Prince Breslyn from the first two books, it was a refreshing change to meet Dante, who is Breslyn's polar opposite. Unlike Breslyn, who loves humans (particularly human women), Dante just doesn't understand them. He thinks their short lives useless, etc. It was nice to see him learn more about humans, particularly B.J. whom he comes to love. At the end of the book I found I like him just as much as Prince Brelyn

2. The elements that were present in the first books that I liked so much were present here too. I love the world of the Fae and how they interact with our world.

3. Brian Carrick. A very endearing character that broke my heart.

Things I didn't like:
1. The ending kind of dragged for me. What I thought was the final fight with the bad guy actually wasn't and the rest seemed unneccessary to me. They had him in their clutches and there is talk of using him to get to Gaischioch, the mastermind. Then they just let him take off...literally, they stand there and watch him drive away...and later on there is another fight with him. It ended fine, but I just felt like the ending could have wrapped up faster. I found myself skipping paragraphs to get to the end.

2. I feel like these books are becoming repetitive. Every time it's the same thing. A meek, virginal heroine with powers stuck in a 'love triangle' between a Fae man and a human man. the human man always wins and when the virginal heroine finally gets laid she turns out to be an insatiable sex kitten. As much as I love these books, I am hoping to find more variety in the next installments. Otherwise I just feel like I'm reading the same book over and over again.

Overall, it was an entertaining read and I want to know what happens next. I also wonder when the characters from first books will come into play, seeing as the queen of the Fae keeps saying it will take all of them to defeat Gaischioch.

This is the best book of the series, so far in my opinion. I enjoyed the big heart of the heroine and her leap of faith for Bryan. I thought the man heroes were hot and hunky with plenty of sexy to go around. The story behind the Darrick was interesting. I hated Dexter from the beginning. What a twisted guy. I am very interested in the next recruits that the Queen will bring to her side. I hope Dante finds his love interest soon. It broke my heart when he was telling BJ how he felt about her choosing Darrick. I was again a bit disappointed by the hesitancy of the heroine to learn her Fios powers and strengths. While some of the prior heroines bordered on chicken, I thought BJ stepped up to the plate in the end.

This was a sweet sad story about how greed can be a catalyst for murder. A good man is hastened to his death because someone wants what doesn't belong to him. This story has murder, mayhem and monsters galore. This is getting really intense with the crazies getting stronger. But as always there are those willing to step up and fight. And of course love never takes a holiday because between all of the awful situations there is a hot love story going on. The story continues even though this story has an HEA. Enjoy I did. This is a re-read for me.
