A collection of psalm-style prayer-poems, first published in 1981, these poems are based on her experiences in search of God and her mission(s) in life. The last poem is an explaining one on the lay missionary movement she helped to establish (before moving on in 1979).
We are called to say yes That the Kingdom might break through To renew and to transform Our dark and groping world.
Making it happen was full of dead ends, disappointments, health scares, and all the emotional ups and downs. Still, even if the reader's own life is mostly not anywhere near like hers, one might still finds poems here to relate to. The struggle and pain, belief and hope, God's absence and presence. I especially liked the poems about her stay in the Saharan desert (reminds me of the Desert Fathers sayings-collections). I am glad that I found out about her, and I still have two books of poems I want to read from her. While I didn't connect to all poems here, it was still interesting to see what her life was like at one point of time. A good experience.
