Lightning McQueen is a hot-shot young race car on his way to becoming a national champion . . . until he gets impounded in Radiator Springs. Now McQueen can only spin his wheels, thinking about the big race he’s going to miss. But if McQueen can open his heart to small town life, the townsfolk of Radiator Springs just might teach him that being a champion has more to do with heart than crossing the finish line first.

Remember reading it when I was a little girl who cannot afford to watch a movie. Now that I've already watched it, seems like my reading imagination isn't the same as what I watched, years later after I bought the book.
Listened to this on Audible about 30,000 times because of my two year old. Enough times to get picky about the writing and accuracy to the movie but, hey, it’s good enough to listen to 30,000 times and not be too bothered so that’s a win in my book.
Cars was very good. The main character was Lightning McQueen. The problem is McQueen loses his pit crew. They fix it by getting a new pit crew. I learned that races have laps.
