Laura Driscoll is the author of numerous first chapter and beginning reader books, including We Are Twins and The Bravest Cat! She lives in central Connecticut with her husband and two children.
This is a really well written book for children to learn how to interact with shy children. Or if they are a shy child that it's okay to make new friends. Thumper learns to be friends with a shy hedgehog and although she doesn't talk with him and stays hidden and watches Thumper and his sisters play. But from time to time Thumper still goes toward her or speaks to her. Then she does come out and want to play! And they all enjoy each other. Very well written and illustrated.
My oldest son is 15 and he loved these books as a toddler. I now get to share them with my younger two. Thumper bunny books will always have a special place in my heart. They are illustrated so beautifully and that you can’t help but be captivated.
