With a control freak ex and two teenage kids, Diana has her own problems and no need to borrow anyone else's troubles. She's an Empath, though, and the young wolven Pack that lands in her lap is difficult to ignore or dissuade from their determination to adopt her as den mother. Adam Weis, Pater Canis of the Pack, isn't too keen on the idea of mating at all, and certainly not with a human, psychic or not. The problem is he's having trouble controlling his weremones whenever Diana is around.

Also writes as Buffi BeCraft.

It all began in seventh grade math class when Buffi decided that writing a novel was a much better use for her notebook than taking notes. Six weeks later, she was grounded from reading (gasp!) and the grand epic space adventure was put away so that she could actually participate in class. Buffi never developed a love of math, but she did pass and did get her library card back.

These days, Buffi BeCraft is deep in her East Texas lair writing as Buffi BeCraft. All this time later, she's happy to dabble in more than werewolves. Paranormal, fantasy, sci-fi, romance... "It's all good," Buffi says, "I just want to keep writing and exploring new worlds."

Top 6 questions answered by Buffi:

1) Is Buffi your real name? A) Yes, it is. My mother named me after the old show Family Affair not the park-lurking blonde with a peculiar taste for staking vampires.

2) Why werewolves? Aren't they scary? A) That's technically two questions, but since they always get asked together, I'll go with it. Why NOT werewolves? They're furry, macho, and most canines are incredibly loyal and sensitive. As for scary-- I consider Dallas traffic much more horrifying.

3) Are you still writing the Blue Collar Werewolf books? A) Oh yes! Even though I've started exploring other genres, the werewolf world is still my favorite to write in. I have all kinds of diabolical things planned for the pack. Bwhahahahah!

4) What is your inspiration for writing? A) Pretty much everything. Ever walk your dog down a dark rural road? Full moon playing Peek-a-boo in the trees? We've got bats, deer, raccoons, and all sorts of other critters that love to scurry at night! Spooky!

5) How do you find time to write? A) Laptops are good investment. Flip it open and start tapping away anytime you have a free minute and add lots of coffee for fuel.--just stay away from video games and social networking sites while doing so! They're very distracting.

6) Why do you write? A) I started for myself. It's a good outlet for frustration. But I'd be lying if I said that was the only reason. I love writing stories that I think the readers will connect to and I love meeting people who read and 'got' one of my books.

I was just browsing for something else to read and came across this book. Bought it but was not really expecting it to be very entertaining. There are annoying clerical errors which should have been corrected by the editor but it seems that the editor was not very particular either. However, clerical errors and all, BBW can spin a tale which draws the reader right along for the ride. I have to say this book was surprisingly good. So much so that I went looking for further books by this author. She haven't published much (yet). I stumbled on the NCP website and made the mistake of buying from them. Takes more than two months for delivery! I should have downloaded. This book is that good that a reader can forgive a lot of things and continue looking forward to further offerings from this author.

This started out okay but then got bogged down with too many story lines. The romance wasn't enough of a focus and I had to read about too many things that I didn't care about. The main characters were interesting, I liked that the heroine was older with kids but I don't think the author did justice to the romance that could have been focused on. The heroine did pull some TSTL moments too. So overall, it was okay but also kind of annoying due to the story meandering around too much.

What a wonderful book if you ignore the title and the cover.

Adam, in looking for a missing fiancee, finds her pelt the same times he finds a boy being molested by the alpha. He kills the alpha and now has 6 teenage abused werewolves to take care of. His old alpha said he can't come back and can't send the boys to him. He doesn't know what he's doing. Diana after being chased by some werecoyotes is reintroduced with the boys that her daughter used to bring over for meals a lot a couple of years before. She's also an empath and can finally feel some of the pain these boys have been through. When Adam gets to know Diana, he's very attracted to her but doesn't exactly come across as he or she wants.

I loved this book. From the title and cover, I thought it would be a horny handyman/housewife book. It's really about responsibility and parenting and healing. I loved Diana too. She'd been in a horrible marriage. Her husband left, she lost some weight although her stomach is saggy now and she thinks Adam is just needing a few encounters and then he'll move on. Adam likes her a lot but isn't sure if it's love. I loved the ending of this book too. Everything isn't tied up in a bow - it just moves up one step. I would definitely recommend this book.

This book only crossed my radar due to a friend mentioning it on an under rated books thread in a group. I was intrigued by the blurb so thought I would give it a try.

While I liked the book, I am not sure what drew me to it was what the author intended. I was more fascinated by the pack of teen wolves more than the romance between Diana and Adam. I loved watching Diana mothering the boys, even after she learned their secret. I found Adam's "what the hell" attitude on the boys to be funny. His uncomfortableness in his new role had me laughing. I thought he did a good job considering how messed up they all were from the old pack.

I was glad to see how this one ended. I would love to see more books with Diana and Adam dealing with the unruly mob.

Diana Ridley has enough problems of her own, with two teenage children and an ass for an ex, she is not looking to be den mother to Adam Weis and his pack. Adam is the Pater Cainis of his pack, as the foster parent to five boys he had not planned on finding a mate but the boys determination that Diana is who they want has him finding ways to spend time with the fiesty woman.

I almost passed this book because of the title, however it was pretty good. I am giving it a 3.75 because there were a few missing pieces in the story that got me a bit confused, it all worked out and was a minor in the story. I would definitely try this author again.

Good book but ...
I only gave 3 stars because the hero werewolf is not enough in the action. The heroin has been attacked twice and he wasn't there to protect her. twice it's other werwolves who saved her.

I love when the hero is there to save the woman he loves.
