Every mother's nightmare. Her daughter, a wealthy daughter , leaves home and meets a tramp or let's say a man who is not of her mom's desire for her daughter.

I don't remember the story very well but I would have loved to have Tramped around with jack London when he was riding the rails. Which by the way, is a much better story than this. It is titled. The Road.

A lovely book by Teddy Slater. What I consider to be an ideal young child’s book.

Lady and the Tramp is a condensed version of the beloved Disney movie. This book, in contrast with most of the other books in the Disney series, actually has a plot that children can follow and has several different characters that have distinct characteristics. This would be a great book to begin working with children on describing different characters. For example, you could read this story aloud to your students and then have them use adjectives to describe Aunt Sara, Lady, Jim Dear, and Tramp. This book should be used when first introducing students to character traits because it very clearly states a few characteristics of each character and therefore would not provide a challenge for students who already have practice in describing characters. I would use this book in a first grade classroom as a teaching aid as well as just have it in my classroom library so that students could read it during free reading time.

Classic Disney tale in book form. Nothing more or less than an abridged version of the movie. A particular favorite for our girls.

"Lady and the Tramp," penned by Jamie Simons as part of the Disney Classics Collection Storybook, is a heartwarming tale that captures the essence of unexpected love and adventure. Through Simons' narrative, readers are introduced to Lady, a refined cocker spaniel, and Tramp, a streetwise mutt, whose worlds collide in the most enchanting ways. Their journey together, filled with challenges and camaraderie, beautifully illustrates the power of love across social divides. Simons' retelling of this classic Disney story is both engaging and accessible, making it a delightful read for fans of all ages. It’s a testament to the idea that love knows no bounds, presented in a way that's both easy to understand and deeply moving.

I was unable to find the actual book I read. It was oversized and it was Lady and the Tramp - Relive the Magic of the Disney Movie.

I like the book because I like romantic stories and I think it’s cute. I liked the topic of it. I really love the story because it’s sweet and short.

It’s a great book and I recommend it to little boys and girls

I loved the movie as a kid. It's not until you read the story later that you realise it works on deeper levels, which is really what makes those classic Disney stories great. For kids it definitely has some scary bits (rats, awful dog catchers) that I had to paraphrase for my nephews when I was reading to them. But it’s still a great story years later.

The movie is great, but being able to sit down with a kid & show them the movie in book form is such a great opportunity for learning.

Soon to appear in Disney's Sing-Along Fringe Cosmological Theories. If the negotiations with Randall Munroe don't fall through.

My love of reading started when i was young, and it gives me immense pleasure to provide books to Spread the Word Nevada, an organization that passes them on to children in the community. They are a terrific organization supporting an important cause. If your local I encourage you to check them out. For those living further a field, look in your own community, their may already be a similar program in place. And if not, you can always help start one.

Myself, I go out on the weekends and
shop thrift store and bulk book lots to rescue books and donate them. Sometimes I'll find a book I remember reading when I was young and will read it again before passing it on.

I don't rate these books using my normal scale, instead I give most of them three stars. This isn't a Criticism of the book, simply my way of rating them as good for children.

This book is about a little cocker spaniel dog who goes on a great adventure wanting her family to come back. She runs away from her dog sitter and finds a dog named Tramp and he leads her astray and gets her caught and put in the pound. She is taken home and put on a chain outside and a rat goes into the new babies room. Tramp comes and saves the baby and he is then saved from going to the pound and he then lives with Lady everyday after.

This book is great for standing up for yourself and protecting those you love and care about. Students should know they can speak their mind.

After Lady's owners have a child she becomes unnoticed and finds herself on the street. She meets Tramp, a stray mutt. Lady and Tramp fall in love, but there are a lot of factors keeping them apart. The rest of the story describes Lady and Tramp's journey to be together. I would read this to my special education classroom while teaching themes.

Lady and the Tramp is another great tale. There are two dogs. Lady; who is a very spoiled and loved dog and frank who is a street dog. Lady ends up getting loose and running into tramp. To find out what happens with the two dogs you’ll have to read the book.
