3.75 stars. This book tells the origin story of how and why Chuckie Finster has glasses. As a long-time Rugrats viewer, I have always been curious about the glasses aspect of Chuckie's character. Overall, this is a fun lighthearted read that is perfect for any Rugrats fan.

This is a great book to prepare young children for visiting an eye doctor. As a young toddler, Chuckies parents realize that he isn't seeing very well. They tell him he is going to the doctor and Chuckie becomes worried and wonders how bad it might be. In the end the visit was fun and harmless. Chuckie got a sucker and picked out his own glasses frames. This book would help children who are anxious about visiting the doctor. It would also be good to use when teaching about different kinds of doctors and what they do.
