Hier wird deutlich, dass man die Frage nach der richtigen "semantischen Analyse" klar von der Frage nach der repräsentationalen Beschreibung dieses Wissens trennen muss. Im zweiten Teil des Buches werden verschiedene Konzepte der Repräsentation vorgestellt, kritisch diskutiert und in wichtigen Anwendungsfeldern präsentiert.
