You never know how strong you are until something makes you choose between humanity, and the beast.

As Claire descended deep into the ancient tomb; laying to rest the bodies of the fallen, she wondered if time healed all wounds, would an eternity be long enough? Still recovering from a brutal attack that nearly killed her, she refused to let evil win. Pain and destruction glared at her everywhere she went. Nothing and no one would ever be safe until Baal was not only defeated, but destroyed. Fueled by her thirst for revenge, she traveled with her father to the ‘old world’, seeking the aide of a long forgotten ally. Will their quest for help lead to their salvation, or is it only the first step in their annihilation?

I absolutely love Megan Duncan's books, if you've followed this blog for a while I think you will have noticed that, I have promoted every new book out and this one wasn't going to be any different. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book and was really excited when it came through.

We are back in teh world with Claire and Arrick, after the big battle at teh end of book 2 they are trying to recover from the loses and injuries whilst dealing with what is to come ahead. The fight is definitely not over yet.

It had been well over a year since I read book 2 and I did have to go back and skim through to remind myself, but once I started to skim through I actually found myself remembering a lot of it. So in no time at all I was onto this book, eager to delve back into that world.

Claire has really grown as a character over this series and I love to see how far she has come, but also that she hasn't lost all of her innocence and links to her past. It makes a great mix and a very believable character.

Arrick is still strong, confident, powerful. The one you know will do anything to protect Claire and I love how he treats her, even when she is a bit of a cow to him, he steps up. So sweet.

Ana makes a re-appearance and boy does she make herself known, I found her really creepy, I was never quite sure when she would turn up or where and I could feel Claire's nervousness about it, it really came off the page. Was very well written.

The plot mainly focuses on the impending war, but it's not all fights and battles, Megan Duncan has found a great balance between scenes and the pace carries you along fantastically, there is never a dull moment or anything that happens that shouldn't. Everything serves a purpose to the story.

I love seeing more of Robin and Dmitry. I'm still not sure exactly what to make of Bennett, something doesn't quite seem right with him, but I hope he is a good guy. I like stories that leave you guessing a character though, makes you more involved.

The story comes to a great conclusion that leaves you both satisfied and wanting more. If that makes sense.

All I know is that Megan Duncan has done it again, another amazing book. Is there anything she can't do? Now, when's the next one out? :P

Finally!!! I was so stoked to get to read this book. I impatiently waited and think I even told Megan to write faster :) I had to know what happened after Indulge. The first two books in this series, Savor and Indulge were great and this book didn't let me down.

I love Claire. She's always there to try and save the people she loves. She's has a strong personality and is a firecracker. Then there's Arrick....mmmm...how perfect is he? I would be the luckiest girl in the world if I was Claire. I like how protective he is of Claire, yet respects the heck out of her.

This book didn't include Robin as much, but Claire got to explore her friendship with Liz more. I liked that they brought her into the fold. She was just what the book needed as far as characters went.

Baal? Ugh, she did a great job making him the villian. The way she wrote him, I wanted to reach into the pages and strangle him. Then there is Ana. I hope there is a fourth book, because I want to see more of what Ana is up to. I wasn't a fan of Titan or Ronon so that kind of killed some of the books excitement for me personally.

Overall, this was an awesome book. If you have read the other two books in the series, you wont be dissapointed in this addition to the series. Hold on to your hats everyone, because this one was a wild ride! It was a fantasticYA paranormal romance and I give it four glittery stars!!

I think this is my favorite of the three books in this series. Claire really grew as a character in this story, taking responsibility for her mistakes and learning to open up. There was a lot of story lines to keep up with, but I liked learning about other groups of characters. Some of the characters that we knew from the other books had more of a part in of the main story in this book and I really liked that. There were also some new characters that added a ton to the story. I truly have loved this series.

Things to love about Devour...

---Arrick and Claire. Despite the fantasy aspect, their own love story was very sweet and loving. It made for some anticipation as we wait for Claire's head to catch up with her heart.

---Liz. I liked Liz from the beginning so it was nice to have more of her. I also liked that we got to see a bit of her less confident and sure side.

Things I wanted more of...

---More Warm Delicacy! There was a bit of an unexpected cliffhanger that made me want more from the series!

My recommendation: Love, love, love all things Megan Duncan! If you like YA and fantasy/vampires, this is a great series to read!

this is the third book in the series. It starts where the second book left off. Baal and the dark vampires had attacked Naos then Noire region. Claire and the Noire Vampires are burning the dead dark vampires and putting to rest their fallen vampires. Claire feels she must go back to Naos to be with her family. Arrick, Liz, Robyn, and Dimtry travel with her. There they train to be ready for Baal's next attack. Nicolae (Noire) promised to help Naos in the battle against Baal but won't be much help because he doesn't have many fighters. Claire and her father travel to Titan to seek help. Titan is still upset with Naos and Noire region for not believing him about Baal. He says he won't help. Ronon (another born vampire - with power like Claire) gets his father to change his mind. Through Claire and Ronon and the others - they are able to defeat Baal.

This was an enjoyable read. Wraps up the series nicely - though there are rumors that there may be another book.

FINALLY!!! I am all caught up with the Warm Delicacy Series and it was well worth the wait!

Devour picks up right where Indulge left off. The aftermath of being attacked and the destruction caused by Baal, Claire says goodbye to fallen friends and vows revenge on all those responsible. She travels to the old world to seek help from a forgotten King who no one wanted to believe. Will this journey help her or hurt her cause. Find out in Devour!

Overall.... Devour is awesome! Megan kept the action going all through out and also made room for the sweet moments between Claire and Arrick. And now with the addition of new characters, the story can only become EPIC! This series is truly an awesome piece of art!

You are truly talented Megan at writing. You always describe scenes perfectly and you keep us readers in suspense at the end. I can't wait for the next install of the Warm Delicacy Series.

I love how we get to meet more and more characters in each book. In Devour, we traveled to the desert and met Titan and his son, Ronon. I liked Ronon quite a bit. I'm probably not supposed to because he's a moose of a man who's cocky, and arrogant, and not always very nice, but I couldn't help it. I got worried because I thought this was the final book in the series, but I was snooping around Megan Duncan's blog and was very happy to find there is another book in the works! The ARC of Devour by Megan Duncan was provided to me by the SupaGirl Tours for review. The opinions are my own.

Okay... So this was a great read again. I love the characters and store line BUT, for as bad ass as Claire is supposed to be she drives me crazy sometimes... I don't like how silly the author makes her seem. The things she keeps from Arrick, is not the big of a deal and makes no sense for her to freak out mentally.
I love Titans son! I really hope he's more involved, I think he and Claire could make an interesting story. Not a love story of course... Love me some Arrick

So overall it get 4 stars... It was dragging feet for me for a while and the whole Ana thing, at this point is stupid ridiculous. So I hope it comes together better in the other books.

I liked this series, I thought it was a different take on the whole vampire thing. I had a couple issues with this series. The first being that they really needed editing. It was a little distracting at times. The second was I felt that the ending was kind of abrupt for a trilogy. If you've already made it through three books you'll be willing to stick it out another few pages for a more complete resolution or at least an epilogue. Don't get me wrong, it was a happy ending but the plot was missing some of the falling action after the climax that helps you come down and feel satisfied. All in all though, I liked it.

I really enjoyed these books. I felt like this book had good closure but left it open for future books if the author chooses. Really liked the character Clair and how she wasn't the type of princess to sit around and let others do all the fighting. I like that she felt the need to defend her kingdom and that she was willing to risk her own life to ensure that happened. I love her and Arrick finally starting to be a normal couple and I hope her friends start to have a sense of normalcy in their new life. I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys YA books and vampire books.

I thought this would be the final book of a trilogy, but apparently it's not. Based upon the ending there must be another book to come, or even more. I was really hoping for a nice tidy ending to this saga. This book was good also, but I really hate it when story drags out too long. 3 books or 4 at the most is really enough. I don't like being in suspense for months and years as to wondering when the story will come to a happy ending. :-)

Overall I liked this third installment of the trilogy better than the second one, but the intimacy was too much for my taste. Besides too many passionate kisses, two characters see each other without clothes on when they go swimming. And the battle at the end was rather long and dull. More typos and some swearing.

It's been three books already and I'm still with the series. That truly says something about how good these books are. Although, I'm having a little falling out with Young Adult Paranormal. Let's just say, I'm getting tired of the endless loop of the same thing. But I didn't feel it when I read this installment from cover to cover.

The book starts with a funeral. Not an ideal beginning but hey! It's got to start somewhere. All throughout the beginning, Megan puts in little bits and pieces of the previous books to remind us what is going on. And trust me, I needed those reminders. I'm one of those people who read more than 100 books every year and I only remember fragments of each book I've read.

In this installment, we go on a journey with Claire as she learns how to control her rage and hatred towards the one man who took many friends and lives away from Claire. Claire is intolerable in the beginning and once you get used to her again. You begin to like her and agree with the decisions she makes though my favorite character was Bennett and Robin. Even I started to grow a soft spot for Liz (Claire's Best friend). Every time a new/old male character meets Liz, I wonder which one of them will end up with her. It's a hard one to guess, that's for sure!

Megan's writing has progressed so much since the first few books I've read of hers and I absolutely loved how constructive and pro she is now. The dialogue and terminology is unique as Megan created a whole different world just for this series.

The plot is thick and filled with all kinds of plot twists and thrilling moments that seriously keeps you hooked until the very end of the book. If I had a dollar for every swear word I said throughout the duration of the book. I would be rich! Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little. I can't help it. It was really that thrilling.

Overall, Devour is an amazing installment to the Warm Delicacy. It was filled with depth, sadness, rage, thrilling and romantic moments that really keeps you reading till the end of the book. Now, I'm left wondering. What is next for Claire?

The ONLY reason this book didn't get 5 stars from me was because for 85% of this book I had to endure unsure, unconfident Claire battle with herself about her love for Arrick and about who she is and what she should do and then the Claire I had grown to love as one of my favorite female characters in a series to date came back in the last 15% FINALLY! And holy hell was it worth it, she was amazing and I was squealing with pride at the end. That is the Claire I wanted through out the entire book, strong, smart and sure of herself. A warrior!!! I hope that continues onto the next book because when it comes time to face Ana I want her to rip her apart limb from limb.

As a side note, I want more on Liz and Bennett. I love these characters! And I was for sure Dimitry had moved onto Robin which is my hope for them!

hmm...
It was ok, I didn't have the same emotional investment that I did in the last installment. I even when back and re-read 2 to get my brain up to date.

I liked that our protagonist evolves into a very self assured and strong character, however, her love-interest seemed to diminish into the background.

I have to admit I was really happy with the build up of tension, but the final scenes were a bit anti-climactic for me. The villain was hyped up SO much that it was just WAY too easy. I get that this MIGHT not be the last we see but...I am not sure it matters to me that much this go round.

Third in a series.

Really the whole series could have been written as one book (a bit long but...).

More teenage romantic angst mixed in with good vs. evil vampires.

Superb wrap to the end of this series, with a little open for more! I'm looking forward to reading the very final book in this series, so that I, as the reader can be at peace with the story.
