The ice cream-loving Bear thinks his wildest dream has come true when it begins to snow ice cream, but the miracle brings with it unexpected results, in a humorous tale that promises plenty of giggles. Original.
Jez is the author and illustrator of 48 books for children. In 2018 he published The Story of 'You' his first book for adults, the first in a series called Life Beyond Personality. He says: "We enter this world as pure Oneness, (what I call our ‘original state of Being’) but we lose this as we become identified with our Personality. In that identification, the Stillness and Love of our Original State is overshadowed by the suffering of the Personality.
"Our Personality creates its own dream from the deep-seated beliefs and emotions it harbours; a dream that can be full of emotional distress, over-thinking and the constant investment in a future which never quite delivers on the belief: ‘When I get this I’ll be happy.’ The Story of ‘You’ suggests it’s possible to wake up out of that dream. When that happens, a whole new adventure begins in a life beyond the Personality."
The Infinite Journey, the second Book in the series, is published in early 2019.

The Ice Cream Bear of this story is one totally "polar" bear when it comes to his addiction to what as kids we all screamed for and still do today. Bear plans to fix his window pane, call his mommy bear, and lay back in his comfy chair snacking on pints of his favorite ice cream....like, let's say, BEARY GARCIA! Oops, bad pun! But poor Bear dreams in his chair and dreams of his creams missing from his cupboard outside! (Outside? In the snowy cold? Well the dude is a bear so it don't mean he's supposed to know better!) Then his dreams take on complex dimensions, and it's snowing vanilla ice cream, and it's soft serve, and IT'S ROCKIN!!!! Bear makes himself the world's biggest ice cream snowball, which promptly rolls Bear flat....and then he wakes up to find a glop of ice cream goodness on his face! So he says F this, I'm eating summadat ice cream now and forget about the windows! They're already a PANE, LoL! Ice Cream Bear is living large, and with large scoops to show for it! And readers of all ages, so will you! Four stars 31 flavors of kick ass fun with the Bear!!!!
Ice cream bear will make kids run to their mom or dad and say can I have some ice cream? In my opinion, its a great book. One reason to read this book is its full of mystery. According to the text, he,s been robbed. who robbed him or did he eat it all. or was it just a dream? read the book and see! Another reason to read this book is, it will make you think of ice cream and snow. according to the text,Bear loves ice cream. will it be all gone? Ice cream bear is the best book Jes Alborough,s has written.
Often times, our greatest desires can ultimately be our downfall. Unfortunately, in Jez Alborough's "Ice Cream Bear", Ice Cream Bear was a victim of his own desire. Constant procrastination in favor of ice cream seem to be a daily occurance for Ice Cream Bear. He prioritizes ice cream above all else to the point where he slowly becomes more and more fixated on ice cream. Before he knows it, all he can think about is getting more. He can't vacuum, cant fix his window, just eat ice cream. So you can imagine his ecstacy when it starts snowing ice cream near his north pole home. His greed overcomes him, and the climax of the story finds him struggling for his life. The twist at the end, however, will not leave the reader dissapointed.
Ice Cream is a heart-wrenching story of a bear and his ice cream. I would recommend this book to anyone with a sense of humor. I would also recommend this, of course, to anyone who loves ice cream. "Ice Cream Bear" changed my life. Pick it up, it could change yours too.
A fun book written in verse about a bear who thinks ice cream is falling like snowflakes from the sky. As a lover of ice cream, I could totally relate.
