Walter R. Martin was an American Evangelical minister, author, and Christian apologist who founded the Christian Research Institute in 1960 as a para-church ministry specializing as a clearing-house of information in both general Christian apologetics and in countercult apologetics.

Dr. Martin wrote a good follow-up to the classic by Lewis. In terms of the issues discussed, these letters were appropriate to the time the work was produced, and still relevant today. They style is very reminiscent of that of Lewis' work, picking up where he left off, which lends a measure of continuity to the work. This book is clever and pertinent.

Dr Martin picks up the story and enlightens use with his letters o Wormwood. A great sequel to the original written some 50 years earlier by C S Lewis.

Both the Original Screwtape Letters & Screwtape Writes Again are excellent. Walter R. Martin using humor to lighten the often overused horror aspects of Demons, still gives you a deeper teaching that can not be missed. (Unless you have blinders on.) The first time I read both books I was in HS. I read then again in my 30's. Both times I saw the sutile weaving of humor & the very real threat of Demons. In HS it was a good read. But when I was older I more deeply understood the concepts that in HS were BIG Words. I like the Original book a bit better than the second, but I think you'll find it a good read.

Not quite as good as the original 'Screwtape Letters' by C.S. Lewis, Martin's continuation of the Screwtape story updates the temptations of the faithful to more contemporary terms.

Well done, as Brother Martin always did. Nice additions to CSLewis's forerunner. A little easier read than Lewis, & not as protracted as Alcorn's decent tho lighter-weight offering, Foulgrin.

Had to read this for a class I took on Christian cults. I enjoyed the way the book was written.
