This is a delightful book up poems. Once you pick it up, you won't want to put it down. It takes you on a walk through a park, reminds you of your first kiss, describes the comfort of solitude, allows you to experience summer rain, and so much more—all through the magic of words. This book should be read in a comfortable chair with a cup of tea. It is pure joy and I find myself reading the poems again and again. I love how Ms. Shults includes pages for reflection so the reader can record his/her own thoughts. Remembering would make a beautiful gift that would be treasured.

Remembering My hand in Yours, Your hand in Yours

A book of poetry and reflections journal

By Sharla Lee Shults

Poet and author, Sharla Lee Shults pens remembrances of the past in her latest book of poetry and reflection. Her prose is inspired by the journey she takes back to the days of her childhood, where layers upon layers of memories, silhouettes of both happy times and sad, formulate her present life. She uses both past ties and her own family’s ties, blending rich experiences in fabrics woven in time.

This beautiful book of poems evokes the readers' own past recollections, bonding them to Sharla Shults' poetic memoir of her past. Rather than random poems, this heartfelt emotional book comprises almost all human emotions, and reads like a story. This unique style keeps the reader turning the pages, entranced by both the lovely meter of her writing, as well as the delightful sometimes poignant past she evokes from her own memories.

It's impossible to read this charming compilation of poetic stories without becoming moved on some level and impacted personally, caught up by the charm of her tales. Author Shults hopes her readers will from reading her words," take the time to reflect on your life, recall special moments and record thoughts to direct your energies toward tomorrow." While reading this book it is impossible not to do exactly that. The author hopes that by enjoying her past and present tales in poetic form that reader will be" encouraged to preserve their own words for posterity."

Poet Sharla Lee Shults, author of " Echoes" and the soon to be released, " Awakenings", writes a book so rich with human experiences, humor, loves and losses that readers will cherish her words — poems to be read and read again--as well as journals; teaching by showing how to happily travel the roads of life. This precious book is a keeper.
