Attention Games 1st (first) edition Text Only

Rate this book

At first, it seems many of the games laid are obvious, things we already doing with our children. However, at a closer look, slight variations or important details of the games make a world of difference in terms of what and how the child is learning.

I was particularly interested in the 6-12 range and implemented several of the games. I was also intrigued to look ahead at the 'Games for Teens' section and found rather magical ways to connect with teens and transform some of their experiences.

I especially appreciate the labeling of what type of focus each games specifically addresses such as focus, open and open and focused.

A handy tool in the parenting toolbox to help children with developing deeper levels of focus in creative ways.

I really enjoyed the premise of this book. The games for kids 0-12 are very engaging and fun. The only critique I have is the chapter for teens, as most of the activities are centered around writing, which is not a bad thing, but I would have liked more active ideas as well. Great ideas overall!

Some fun activities we tried. This is where I got one of my kids' favorites, putting a baseball in a stocking, hanging it from a tree and hitting with a bat.

I was really impressed with this book and will be checking out some of her other books. The activities are age appropriate and spot-on as far as addressing attention and actually being fun for kids.
