I enjoy this translation, it retains some of the poetry of a JKV while being more comprehensive and understandable by modern readers, I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a good translation.

One of my projects this summer (2026) was to read the entire New Testament. I won't claim to have memorized it all, or to have understood everything, but at least I've got an initial complete read.

The NRSV is a good translation. The language is easy to understand, so you're not slogging through archaic "thees" and "thous."
