Fun, factual, fascinating -- who says science has to be dull? With striking full-color photos and minimal text, this series immediately involves young readers as they discover intriguing facts about the world around them.
This little book has lots of information in easy-to-read words for children. The pictures are realistic looking and the book even has a picture "Words You Should Know" section matching pictures with words used in the book. There is a index in the back of the book also. Although this book may be older, the information is still the same and I like the condensed version for little ones. It's definitely a keeper!
I really like this nonfiction book because it teaches a lot about turtles. My 1st grade class seemed interested as I read this book to them because it’s easy to understand and has many fun facts about turtles.
The children enjoyed learning about facts about turtles. It would be wonderful book to use with a fiction book in order to teach the difference between fiction and non-fiction. Not to mention a great way to incorporate literature into the Science curriculum.
