1 Stars Accidentally in Love? Rather Intentionally MURDERD!
So here I am again! I thought I was on a lucky streak with all the 5 star books I have been reading these days, but no. This book was there to remind me to get my ass back to the real world! Actually I was so tempted to give this 5 stars owing to how ridiculous this book was! It was so effing ridiculous! It made me laugh at the pettiness of each character, if this was classified into the humor genre, well 5 stars for you! But it wasn't humor, it was 'supposed' to be romance!
The Plot Looking for the plot to write the review.
Nope still couldn't find it!
So I read the synopsis of the book on its back, u know how it was? It's like there was no consensus ad idem (what up latin legal term reference!) I swear! It was so deceiving! It was supposed to be about a career oriented woman who didn't believe in relationships and therefore was involved in a 'no strings attached' relationship but then she realizes how much she likes him when he is away and falls into love. I am actually into such stuff sometimes but you know what I got? 2 pages of what I mentioned and rest is just desperation, fake friends, desperation, bad best friend, desperation, bad ROMANCE and did I happen to mention the desperation? Urghh Chavvi
That's all there was to the book. Chavvi, the protagonist, was supposed to be career oriented like on the synopsis not desperate! It was on the whole a big SCAM! They cheated me!
The Characters
Ahh where do I begin. I don't think they were characters, they were evil creatures sent by God to punish me for not studying and reading this book instead! I promise to u at this moment god, I will never do that again,so u too don't do that to me. Ever. I mean each and every single character I loathed like never before! They were terrible! Chavvi was a sex craving despo, Her BFF Vatsala was a cheating whore, and Chavvi's eye candy Tushar? Oh god! Its like when he proclaimed his love for her I was like
I swear, I felt nothing, it's not just because I am an ice queen, it was because it was all FAKE! when Chavvi spoke I was like:
When Tushar spoke I was like:
When Vatsala spoke I was like:
Then comes the style of writing. It was okay, not really something I would prefer exactly, but wasn't bad either. I was so upset with this book! I read If it's not forever a colab by this author, it was pretty good actually and so I fearlessly went on to read this but i guess i am scarred for life now!
I took this book from the stores with great expectations, considering Author being one of the best sellers of recent times. But, when I started reading it all expectations broke in a shudder.
This book missed a good story-line. Narration was pretty kiddish, with use of in-matured vocabulary. It is said- Writer is a replica of society, but these creations portray brutal image.
The message of the book is wired and I feel pity on mentality of both writer and readers, who make these baseless patchy story best sellers. The future of literature is in stake. We must save it.
No special story. Just you can read it for the sake of reading. If this's the first work you are reading by Nikita Singh, you will completely be disappointed and u'll hesitate to get other books of her's .
Disappointing. The book had its moments, but for the most part of it, author was in her own fantasy world. The immaturity in her writing was abundantly visible throughout the book. Most parts of the book felt like cheap, erotic fiction.
The younger me read it and liked it long time back. Not sure what I would have felt on this book now. No plans to revisit it and find that out anytime soon. So settling with the younger me decision..!!
Pretty easy and fun read...though the story didn't really have much in it..perfect gal's fairy tale (okie not gal, grown up gal...with lots of naughty ideas)
Basically the novel touched on a lot of parts Indian authors shy away from as in intimate details...would have been way better had there been more to it than intimate physical praises n fantasies...but I like the peppy way she writes in...moreover the side character of the novel, Vatsala, was the one I actually liked way more than the lead, Chhavi...
All in all, a novel with nothing great to stand out...but fast moving enough that you can fall in line with it ;)
I had been reading some heavy books lately. So, to take a break I picked up this book which seemed to be a light read. This book is by Nikita Singh who had earlier written two books along with Durjoy Datta, namely, If It's Not Forever. It's Not Love. and Someone Like You. These books seemed to be a fairly good read and I did not understand why this one solo book by Nikita Singh would be any disappointment! I was so wrong! I wish the youngsters who are writing and have the privilege to get published, wrote more responsibly.
This is a typical indian desi style love story book. Although, the title do not do justice because there was nothing "accidentally in love" about this book. Chhavi fell in love from the beginning even when she agreed on open relationship...and the break up in the middle was also not necessary just because Tushar found a project oversea... This was complete waste of my time and there was nothing unique about this read.
Most parts of the book felt like cheap, erotic fiction....This book is a piece of junk. There is no story in this.Waste of time and money..Bought this because it is available at Amazon at 60% discount and can be get at just only 40/-.But after reading it, I am sure even at 40 rupees, you feel robbed. kiddish and immature narration ....
Accidentally in Love-Nikita Singh The other day I was checking and found that this book is available at Amazon at 60% discount and can be get at just only 40/-.But after reading it, I am sure even at 40 rupees, you feel robbed. You regret your decision and hope that better u would have given this money to some ‘fake’ beggar who lives more royal and carefree life than yours(with beer, pizza & all),so that u can save your time you wasted in reading this scrap. Tear this erotic porn book into 2 halves and burn it.IT will give you more fun rather than spending time on it. A struggling print model who lives with her roommate in Mumbai, getting irregular ad offers and trying to meet ends and stay in the glam industry. She met with a cute photographer on a fateful day and this awestruck and sex deprived girl soon get in an open relationship with him. Then follows the regular drama. Erotic scenes, love mania, love-making vivid description, emotional up and down and soon following love, ‘to-be-or-not-to-be’ with a well predicated happy ending. If you liked the movie ‘Ayesha’, or really into these kind of girls, dresses, love cum sex, show-off and dumb movies or a regular reader of light hearted-no brainers then you may like this book…wait!! if love to read Mastram…then u can also try this. Nikita try to capture the vulnerable sexy girl’s wild imaginations of having, making love with alpha males. the girls of the story will make u realize where is this fucking place where getting girls and getting in an open relationship is so easy and why u wasted ur life in a shitty place with loads of rules. A regular drama story. Mainly for girls. For boys; a word of caution. Don’t read it if u don’t have a girl or u may end of frustrating with this fairly tale.
Accidentally in love “The thing with love is the more you try to push it out, the more it follows you” an exerpt from the book. The story of Accidentally In Love revolves around Chhavi Mukherjee. She is a model, who has managed to navigate through dark waters of the industry and secure a place for herself as a reputed model. Just when she feels that nothing could go wrong with her life, fate decides to throw a few surprises in her path. Apart from the cut-throat competition which she has to encounter on a daily basis, she comes across Tushar, a successful photographer, who sweeps her off her feet. What ensues is an erotic relationship where sparks fly. But Chhavi doesn’t believe in love it commitment and they share a open relationship. What follows after is the story. You can give it a try. It is a good book to read while sipping a mug of coffee. It will make you laugh and remember those sweet moments spent with your love. Cover – illustrations by – Jasyot Singh Hans The main thing I liked about the cover are those small small girly things printed on front. Cover itself is eye – catching enough to make you read it. I’ll give this book 4 stars.
The Book has sex. Loads of it. Not the real, hot or sensual sex; but teenage, dreamy, it-must-be-like-it sex. Heck, leave the sex the whole story is a teenage girl dream. There is hardly any substance in the book.
Her writing style is gripping and honest. She knows how to handle a delicate situation and build up emotions. She has talent, which I hope she will use for something real soon.
A dreamy throw-away past-time Chick-Lit. Don’t expect much. A perfect commercial product for teenage girls.
I picked this book randomly and it proved to be a bad decision after completing it. There was nothing new about the story. The book was filled with sexual intimacies of male and female protagonists. Though such things attracts youth, but it should not cover the 70% of book's content. Excess of anything is not good, and this book surely lags in maintaining the consistency of simple plot.
But I still feel that the author has put in lot of efforts in writing this novel. So, can be read while traveling or when you need to freshen up your mood.
I picked up this book based on my experience with other books of same author. This one however is different. This book will definitely be more liked by young girls. The story is about a model who lives in Mumbai. It shows the open lifestyle of the girls in metro, and how she falls in love with a guy, with whom initially they had planned to be in a strictly physical no strings attached relationship.
The whole curiosity of reading a book from "nikita singh" vanishes all of a sudden when u gradually turn pages... Also at some point of time it feels quite a boring experience. The "when-will-it-finish" feeling creeps upon u when the reading task becomes quite a burden... Although this will not affect my liking for Miss Nikita Singh's works...
The title of the book has nothing to do with the main line story. It is somewhere related to Vatsala, who was the leading character in her first book and there is hardly 3 chapters which revolve around her. Overall, I believe it’s an average book and surely a one time read. If you like light stories with no high voltage drama then this is a book for you.
Pathetic story! Apparently this is the worst novel I have ever read. The story has been dragged way too much, it revoles around a girl named chaavi, her silly love affair and her roommate. The narration was very kiddish and immature. Also alot of things have been repeated over and over again. I had to force myself to finish the book.
Seriously speaking... i have lots of expectation from author nikita singh. but this book is full of crap, and very freaking attitude of the protagonist and concept which is shown in book is still not acceptable in India. i think author should also think about it.
Ack! I never learn - terrible plot - did not enjoy this one at all. The cover was its saving grace - designed by one of my favourite illustrators, Jasjyot Singh Hans. AMAAAAZE COVER! The one star's just for that. I know - Ouch! Apart from that, yep, nothing remotely good about this one, folks.
Better waste your time watching some porn than read this piece of rubbish. If I had a gun, I'd have shot chavvi first n killed myself for buying this sluttish book. But all I did was tore this crap into pieces. I feel better now.
