"A compact collection of more than 1,500 of Fowler's fulsome and funny fulminations against faith. Fowler follows in the foot steps of anti-theological philosophers like Nietzsche ... Yes life can seem quite meaningless, and there's nowhere we go after we die, but here are some interesting things to think about in the meantime." - James Geary author of Geary's Guide to the World's Great Aphorists
Not really the kind of book you read as a novel... its more an almost never-ending list of thoughts, statements and musings on God, religion, life, the universe and everything. I really enjoyed it.
I didn’t read all of this book and I don’t know why anyone would. It’s amusing in a fortune cookie kind of way, in that you can read into some of the notes more than others, but ultimately it’s a series of largely disconnected thoughts. You spend more time scrolling than reading. It’s a cute idea, but not something I could take seriously for the whole lengrh of the thing.
Had high hopes for this, as I loved both "Scepticism, Inc", and "The Astrological Diary of God", but while it was entertaining, I think Fowler's wife was correct that it's not a proper book!
Give it a go though, and read the other two mentioned above, as both are works of genius (and contain less spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors).
