This book talks about reading from 'the brain perspective'. It shows exactly which parts of the brain responsible for reading; the visual and the auditory skills of reading.
It also talks about Dyslexia, how the brain of dyslexic people looks like, which parts of their brain are responsible for reading, and how to help.

As a Special Education Class teacher, I found this book very informative and useful, and I definitely recommend it for teachers, and parents.

I enjoyed reading about how the brain is mapped, what side the brain controls, and the many different ways that it shows the root of reading. I also found it interesting how our brains were never meant to learn but it has become a skill that can be honed and I found it helpful in understanding how my children are learning to read. Helpful, informative, and well laid out. I did find parts of it a little dull, but the research made up for it.
