Recommended Grades 4-6.

This is another one that I think is recommended for older grades because of the topic less than the reading level.
Story wise it was simple, fun and easy to follow.

This might be a good one to recommend for readers who are more reluctant.

I wasn’t too thrilled about this book. It didn’t keep my interest and felt like things were a bit scattered.

James, Kurt, and Garrett are understandably bereft after the death of their friend Adam Quinn who died in a skateboard accident. But before he can be buried, they start getting strange text messages from Adam that seem to indicate his need for their help in uncovering the reason for his death. After investigating and breaking into the funeral home, the boys find the person who is to blame for his accident. Although the plot was pretty slim and the characters not fully fleshed out, the story itself was creepy, describing many middle graders' fears about messages sent from the great beyond, only in this case, they come through a cell phone. The book is a quick read.

It was a creepy book. I liked how it sent those text messages to 3 of those boys. I think it engages you to read more of thr book the more you read it.

I didn't really like this book because it was really slow and there wasn't much detail in it even though I know it's like a short story there just wasn't a good plot.
