Classic Hendricks with wit and wisdom on marriage and family.

I wanted to read this after hearing many radio preachers reference the impact Prof made on their lives. I could tell he was someone to listen to! I enjoyed the personal stories and felt generally encouraged with the real-life examples of the life-changing power of the Gospel. Nothing earth-shattering but a good, encouraging reminder.

Moderately encouraging book about sharing your faith and loving others well.

We must share the message of God's life to others in such a way that they can communicate it to others.
I find that the more love I show a person, the greater the impact I have on his life.
Right words must be translated into action to have value with God.
Some are not ready to hear you now, but tomorrow or two weeks from now they may be hurting so badly they are going to be searching for answers.
Show me a person with a passion to communicate, and I'll show you a person who will learn how to get the job done.
The press of time makes more critical the need for busy Christian workers to get alone with God and their Bibles for spiritual renewal.

If you really want to gauge the quality of your spiritual life, check your love dimensions. Not how often you read the Bible, not how much Scripture you have memorized, but whether the people with whom you are living regard you as a lover - a person refracting the love of Christ which he sheds into your heart.
