Blue Moon's Reflection, the second book in the Moon's Reflection Series, is a (61.000 words long) YA paranormal romance/adventure. Tina Kocbek lives with the Dumes on the edge of Bloodeater society. They are travelling across Europe searching for clues that will bring them to Damon, Tina’s Beloved, before his nightmares swallow him completely. But the only lead they have are Tina’s dreams.
I find a lot of trilogies suffer from what I call 'middle book syndrome', where the second book is nothing but filler, a bit of padding between a gripping first book and an explosive or satisfying conclusion.
Blue Moon's Reflection has to be an exception. It has been my favourite book of the three.
I'd find it hard to say why, exactly; possibly it is for the very reason that it doesn't suffer from 'middle book syndrome' and is a satisfying story all on its own, which not only did I enjoy but it made me desperately want to read more about these intriguing characters and the fantastical lives they live.
Ela Lond is truly an accomplished writer who manages to transcribe her stories and imagination in such a way that you find them coming alive in your imagination; they are exciting and delightful and I'd advise anyone who hasn't picked them up yet to give them a go.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Here we go on the continuing saga with Tina and the brothers in search of Damon to rescue him. We learn more about Tina and her working with the brothers but still trying to figure out if they were on the good side or bad side. Lots of excitement and action.
