Description: The book contains information on current events and information from around the world. It contains statistics about various countries, different cultural holidays, and many other facts from around the world.
Relevance and Relationship: There were no books in the reference section that contained a lot of current event type of information. Most of the current event information in the library is local. It is important to have current event information for reference.
Purpose: This book will offer insight to various cultures throughout the world. It will also provide information that will be of use when conducting research on events and places.
Validity: Time is one of the leading news magazines. It contains up to date information about various topics including countries, sports, and the economy.
Format: Print Reference- Almanac
Arrangement and Presentation: The book has 864 pages. It contains full color pictures to go along with the text.

Relevance and Relationship: Would be relevant to many different types of students. A wonderful general reference tool that would be relevant in many subject areas. Very versatile.

Validity: Very reasonably priced at $34.95. High-interest title. Would span many different subject areas.
Format: Published in 2011. 864 pages. Full-color illustrations.
Arrangement and Presentation: Gives updates to “Countries Around the World” and provides up-to-the-minute facts statistics and dates for a plethora of information. Most pertinent is the world statistics, calendars and holidays, but the Time almanac is filled with over 1 million answers.
Diversity: Useful for visual learners, with full-color photos.
