This book is part of the Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group's campaign to raise epilepsy and seizure awareness and provides education in understandable language. Collaborating authors include Dr. Evan Fertig, the NEREG Director of Research, Dr. Olgica Laban-Grant, New York Associate Director of NEREG, Dr. Lorna Myers, clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist, and Dana Casendino, registered dietician.

About the author

Marcelo Lancman, M.D., earned his medical degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1984 and went on to complete his post-doctoral epilepsy training at Wake Forest University and Cleveland Clinic. Since the late 1990s, he has been the medical director of the Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group in New York and New Jersey, which is one of the largest epilepsy centers in the country with four Level IV accredited epilepsy centers. Dr. Lancman has written several scientific papers and book chapters and has served as a reviewer for various scientific journals. He is a member of the Professional Advisory Board of the Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut as well as the adult epilepsy expert for the New Jersey Epilepsy Task Force. Dr. Marcelo Lancman and his co-authors are donating all their earnings from the book sale to local epilepsy foundations including the Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey, Connecticut, Northeastern NY and Epilepsy Free.

Best book

I highly recommend this book if you want to learn about epilepsy. I am so glad I read this book.

This is a fantastic read; whether it be for educational or personal purposes; I fully recommend this book to any and everyone who, as the title says "epilepsy has touched your life."

Una excelente guía sobre la epilepsia. Analiza todos los aspectos involucrados: causas, diagnósticos, tratamientos, dietas, vida diaria, etc.
Si la epilepsia ha entrado a tu vida, léelo y compártelo con tu entórnale. Tenlo siempre a la mano para consultas.
