Good read to reinforce social emotional skills in young children. This book is colorful straight to the point and descriptive on how animal hug. The rhyming words, sounds, and phrases are enjoyable to share with young children and could spark conversations.
This would be a wonderful book to read with a child under the age of 5, especially when talking about sharing affection. Every animal in the book has a different way of hugging, and a different word that is used to describe it. At the end of the story, the reader is asked how he/she hugs. How do you hug? Great to read with your own child or a child with whom you are close.
