It’s morning, and Emma wants pancakes. But the two-headed giant who lives on Snuggle Mountain has forgotten all about breakfast. So lump by bump, Emma begins her climb up the shaking, quaking mountain to reach the giant’s snuggly cave. How can Emma wake the giant without getting caught in the Sleeping Spell?
Filled with imagination and humor, Snuggle Mountain perfectly captures a quintessential childhood experience.

I chose this book for my Soak Project because I really liked it. What first caught my eye about this book was the cover which has a little girl lying on top of what looks like a green and purple mountain. While I flipped through the books I found that every time you turn the pages the illustrations seems to get brighter and brighter. This went along well with the narration of the book where the little girl is trying to climb the snuggle mountain. At first the reader cannot tell what snuggle mountain is but as the story goes up the mystery become clearer and clearer and the pictures become brighter. I thought this was a really cute book about a little girl that does not give up and accomplishes her goal of climbing snuggle mountain. This book could be used in a classroom to teach the class about reaching their goals and pushing themselves to accomplish things they thought impossible.
