You’ve found the home of Matthew Iden’s Three on a Match short story collection, three original tales featuring dirty motives, relentless ambitions, and a lop-sided view of the world.
The Long Drop Rick Holland has a plan to travel to exotic Patagonia to recover his youth, his fortune, and--most importantly--his future. Only one person stands in his way...and they're hiking to the misty peak of El Chaltén with him in the morning.
Flowers Street Richie had a good little thing going, moonlighting as an aw-shucks AC repairman to convince women to let him into their homes. Each time, it's been their last mistake. And now, there's one more girl he's got his eye on, a hot little number that lives by herself on Flowers Street. Someone's going to be in for a surprise...
A Day at the Beach Ted Christy, reformed second-story burglar, is a dedicated family man. But when he gets swindled during a family vacation to the beach, old habits take over and a couple of amateurs find out that no one stands between a former thief and his ill-gotten gains.
If you enjoy gritty, unexpected journeys--sometimes violent, sometimes funny, always entertaining--Three on a Match is for you. Interested? The trip continues in Three Shorts, Three the Hard Way, and Three of a Kind.
I write fantasy, science fiction, horror, thrillers, crime fiction, and contemporary literary fiction with a psychological twist.
I’ve held jobs with the US Postal Service, international non-profit groups, a short stint with the Forest Service in Sitka, Alaska, and time with the globe-spanning Semester at Sea program. Trips to Iceland, Patagonia, and Antarctica added to the creative pot, as well, and I started to put all those experiences to good use about eight years ago--thinking, dreaming, and writing.

I got the book as a free download and I loved it. Great short stories that keep your attention and you can read in one sitting. Some of the short stories do appear in other books so make sure you have not read them already. Otherwise I highly recommend this book.
I thoroughly enjoyed these short stories, although I was a bit disturbed by my dark thoughts. You see, I was able to guess how these ended. I guess I'm not the only twisted person around, am I Matthew?
