Thin Ice #4

Resurrections

Rate this book
Life sometimes takes strange twists, for seemingly no reason at all. Things long since grieved over and buried, forgotten and left behind, seem to be resurging; defying reality and logic. Ice and Ryan are dead, their legacies not soon forgotten. For Tariq and his partners this is welcomed and blessed release. For the newly wealthy Jalen Bailey, their lives are a mystery he wants answers to. Jalen wants to know his blood. His mother adamantly denies the discovery, saying he has no brothers.

Determined, Jalen enlists the help of an acquaintance, one heavy into the game who may be able to help him find what he seeks. The old adage “let sleeping dogs lie” may best apply in this situation, when simple curiosity ignites a powder keg of deceit, lies, innuendo, and secrets opening a door Jalen may regret he ever requested a key to enter, as the walls begin to close in and the springs on the trap he’s willingly stepped into, tighten.

**Author’s Note: Thin Ice is a presented in numbered episodes as a written serial/soap opera. It is a drama series dealing with daily events in the lives of the same group of characters over a set period of years.

What can I say? KR does it again. Each time I read one this author's books I get a surprise. KR knows how to get a reader's attention in more ways than one. The "Thin Ice" journey is breathe taking, mindblowing and just exciting.
With each page read, the reader gets a treat. I'm truly a fan of this author. The author has an amazing vocabulary. As a fan of mystery and suspends, I'm always looking for that one clue and KR doesn't disappoint.

Ian "Ice" Bailey is a man all his own and he command or better demands his respect and will do whatever it takes to get. A warning to all those who try to stop him- "look out".

Kr Bankston is the best! She has taken me on a journey that is so unpredictable and yet exciting! Ice is out of control, Top is losing control and KiKi is trying to get it together! Between those three, I don't know who I feel for the most. The chemistry between Mook/Kim, Shellis/Tae, Jaron/Gabrielle and now Jacoury/Tayashia (Jaleesa) makes this book so real to see how couples endure different situations. Can't wait for the next story...

This is like a mini soap opera, my man Ice got more lives than a cat. He really needs to get over it an keep it moving. I'm not gonna touch on too much don't want a spoiler here but I'm really curious about what's gonna go down in part 5.
